In competitive games you criticize gameplay after, focus on playing the game during. This guy suggesting that there is nothing wrong with calling out players who are playing badly on your own team (ie. Why are you playing first time x champion in ranked?) doesn't really understand how people think during a game.

A lot of players actually do take ranked seriously, but when you start nitpicking or commenting on their gameplay it's very possible that it could upset them. This has a chance at making them play worse, and might be why this individual sees players act the way they do after being called out by him. Is this a good reaction by the player? No, but many people are emotional and don't enjoy being personally attacked, even if the comments aren't necessarily that negative, it's easy for someone to take them that way.

There's literally never a reason to be negative towards your teammates.

His mentality is what makes this games community garbage.

Because the second they see someone actually enjoying themselves, they brand them as "Not trying and trolling and derping" and the second they are reported for raging at them, they rage even more lol.

Like, they don't get much enjoyment out of the game themselves (Why they continue to play it is beyond me) so seeing people actually have fun with it makes them angry.

His exact point was: If you want to enjoy yourself, PLAY NORMALS. Ranked is for players that want to put their skills to the test.

Yea but this is League. The only community that plays the game to get hugs from their team mates rather than actually playing the game.

Would you rather have somebody who is an asshole that will carry you? Or somebody that will hug your nuts the entire game but go 0/12 and lose the game for you.

I guarantee you're going to answer the latter, which just means you would rather get hugs from your team mates rather than just mute players who are dicks and try to win the game. This is unique to the league community.

This is UNIQUE to the league community. If you played a game like Dota or CS:Go you'd realize nobody but league players have this mentality.

Why should I expected to be treated like garbage just because it's the internet? Why should I expect to be treated so horribly and so badly just because of the anonymous factor? You, and people like you, simply disgust me. You'll talk shit to people on the internet because you're too terrified to actually say it to people's faces out side of it. You hide away behind a computer screen, revealing your true colors, showing just how black inside you are.

So what if someone is going 0/12 if they're trying? If they are really trying, but are just having a bad game, why go on a tangent and treat them like utter shit? This is a competitive game, but you know what else is competitive? Football, Baseball, Basketball... and guess what, in those games, teams don't turn on each other and lash out with violence and hate when a mistake is made.

Why should this game be any different?
