Leavers in Ranked Games

Riots really gotta do something about leavers in ranked games, in my last game our irelia died and within 5 mins she afked in fountain and spammed abilities. Because of this, the whole team started to fall apart because we had no top laner and everyone else got fed, we lost that game in 14 mins or so. I also reported her for leaving and i never saw an x on her profile or got a report thing saying she got punished, so I can only assume that she got away without even a leaverbuster or any punishment for losing 4 people a ranked game. Riot really has to do something about people who leave, or improve their leaving detection system, as one day my power went out, came back 10 mins later and I got a 20 min leaverbuster because of that. I really don't think its fair that people can just ruin someones ranked game and not get punished for it.

LeaverBuster is a system that detects players who are either AFK (and boots them from the game) or are disconnected from the game. It doesn't detect people AFKfarming/spawn camping/etc. - however those behaviors are detected, just by a different system. You didn't see an X in the game, as they weren't punished by LeaverBuster, but by this separate system. That being said, behaviors that are intentionally trying to skirt the system such as that are generally punished more harshly than simply are regular afk/leave situations.

SavageCabb, just dont play ranked near the end of the season and you will run in to less AFKs. Im serious, when i played in the early part of this season I had one afk. Then I played a few ranked games in september or october and all 6 games i played had afks/leavers.

my best advice is to just accept the loss and move on to your next game and minimize the tilt.

the djinn and chermorg guys are lying. the game does NOT detect trolling and semi-afk (running around in base). it does if u dont do damage for a long time or fall behind in levels too much tho. When a person decides to afk/troll by staying in lane, but not doing anything, etc, its GG, just ff.

ur only hope is to submit a support ticket, but that shit doesnt do anything either. i once made a ticket about a dude spamming the n word in the after game lobby chat and he wasnt banned. i checked his opgg the next day and he was still playing.

dont believe that these forum people with colorful names are saying (archivist, arbiters, wtf those titles mean). they are just wasting your time.
