Is support not building sight stone reportable?

As the title says, do you think supports who don't build a sightstone deserve to be reported automatically?

I don't mean that they have to rush it or anything, but if the game's 40+ minutes and they don't have one, they may as well be trolling or assisting the enemy team IMO. Should the player ignore his teammates' pleas to pick one up, I figure you may as well add griefing to the list.

If it's a traditional support like Nami as opposed to something damage oriented like Brand, that goes double. (Though a Brand without one lategame still will get a report)

My own opinion is that it most certainly deserves a report, but I'm wondering what others think as well.

Is ADC not building item 3123 against Soraka reportable? Is mid laner not building item 3157 against Zed reportable? Is top laner not building item 3075 against Yi reportable? Is jungler not building item 3711 reportable? Is anyone not buying item 2055 every back reportable? Is ADC not using item 3340 or item 3363 reportable?

Of course not. People are allowed to buy any items they want. Sightstone is team item, if your support doesnt buy it but you believe your team needs it just buy it yourself

No. I am not up to date on strategies, but regardless, being bad is not reportable.

You can report anyone because of anything but they will not be punished for not building Sightstone. The same goes for ADC not building grev wound vs heavy healing team

I'm actually amazed at the amount of downvotes on this. Shows a lot about the NA players. I will always report a sup who doesn't build sight stone because it's straight out griefing. You don't want to play the role given to you? Leave the game. This game, and any high level player will tell you, is won on vision. The idiots downvoting this have no concept of how vision comes into a major role into this game. And if you watch the lcs recaps they talk a lot about how vision made plays possible or prevented bad things from happening. Support role is clear, it is support. Build a item 2301 and stop being such a douchebag to the rest of your team if you're so worried about damage. It'd be like a jungler not taking a jungle item and forcing himself behind since riot directly tied the exp to that item.

really kid? you think just cause a support doesn't get a SIGHTSTONE they need to get banned ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? how bout you use your THREE ward slots and put down some wards too? its not just the supports job to keep vision, you got THREE WARDS FOR YOUR BOT LANE, DONT BE BLIND BAD AND IGNORANT. jeez people on these forums lately are just something else.

if it was then why make a sight stone jungling item? why not just give the support wards with their income items? why not just make the income item a trinket with wards?

it's because warding doesnt have to be the supports job. it's nice if someone does it, but it doesnt have to always be supports job. the problem is that it (sightstone) doesnt grant anything but HP and vision - which you cant use to farm xp and gold.

IF that was the case, I would report 8-9 players per game for not upgrading their trinkets.

As a support main while I do agree with an item I think they require, but at the same time if people can use the trinket wards effectly that can be better. With that said though if you and your team isn't using wards what is the point of a support getting an item no one is going to bother to be using? Like if I ward dragon and the enemy team is going at it but no one wants to try and stop it why should I bother warding it if you guys will just ignore it?

I don't think not building any item should warrant a report (even if it is sightstone, and warding is part of the supports identity).

Though riot did partially address the 'mah item slot' by providing a pathway combining sightstone and the gold gen items
