'Encouraging Suicide' THIS is what warrants a permanent ban in any game. THIS is the type of gamer Riot should be looking to remove from the league FOREVER. A toxic frustrated player isn't as bad for the community as THIS.

yes, im sure thats exactly what happened.

the kid was perfectly healthy, with a perfect life, and no issues at all.

he was a perfectly normal kid with a perfectly normal life. he was happy and everything, then one day someone was like GKY in leagues blind pick and he was like "sure" and went ahead and killed himself. im sure thats what happened.

Only 13-21% of men are likely to contact mental health specialists before committing suicide. (compared to 72-89% of females).

Male suicide is 5 times as likely as female suicide.

Male suicide is a worldwide epidemic that receives no funding, political or media attention, and is fairly consistent regardless of the wealth or region of the country. (North Korea is the only exception. Obvious reasons)

While guesses can easily be made as to why, there has been next to no research done on this topic due to lack of research, and realistically, lack of care.

Telling men to kill themselves can actually have an effect on them. They are already 5 times as likely to commit suicide as a woman.

Because you know... this was part of our patriarchal master plan... To kill ourselves.

2017, men still disposable.

I'm too cynical, jaded and nihilistic to care about someone's life, and a pithy: "DON'T TELL PEOPLE TO KILL THEMSELVES BECAUSE OF THIS ONE EXAMPLE OF IT WORKING" sob-story isn't doing anything for me. If you kill yourself over a text message, you probably didn't have a bright future to look forward to anyways.

Must have been one hell of a text.

This is very sad. I know there are toxic people in this game that express the kind of nastiness described in this video like "go kill yourself". I just hope the people that play this game can take it. It's definitely out there. To protect yourself from the abuse you should use the mute button liberally. Once I hear a certain type of disposition to swear and speak roughly (to myself or team members) I mute them. Otherwise I become so distracted by them that I can't concentrate on what I am supposed to be doing and my playing deteriorates completely. They can ping me if they need something. That's just in normal games. People take ranked games so seriously that winning is too important. Last year I played 10 games of ranked and decided the atmosphere was way too toxic. Not fun at all. I'm not trying to become a pro player so I don't need those problems and expose myself to people in that struggle who become too ego identified with the "game". For me ARAM is the most fun place to play since people are mostly just having fun. Also, in the weekly game mode rotation it's more light hearted.

No one cares when you say you are going to "KMS" in chat though just something i've seen chances of someone caring out of 100 games?

Should be time for an experiment :3.
