I got banned during champ select while in my series to gold and it counts as a loss. Not really sure what else to say other than that's just shitty. Couldn't have banned me like a minute beforehand?

Im sure they didn't know that you were in champ select, it was mere coincidence. Besides, you get banned because you ruin the game for others. They don't want to risk that you might do it in that game.
Nah, you deserve it for the behavior you exhibited. Not required to be an ass to play League, just a personal choice you wanted to make.
That is very unfortunate. I thought the IFS usually waited until after a match was finished before handing out punishments.

Edited. It's like another punishment on top of your suspension, but you do have a bigger problem to fix than getting out of your series.
