What I've learned after having 4 permabanned accounts

Edit: (yes I know this will only make people downvote harder. oh well.) -3 already after just a minute or two. I'm really sorry this isn't a "I'm so sorry for flaming I will never do it again I love everyone and feeding and trolling is totally okay!!!!" post that Riot expects out of us banned players, but I really don't believe that taking shit from everyone is the solution to my problem.

So today, my fourth account was permabanned. I'm not going to delve into whether it was justified or not, because I guess it was and I'm sure the entirety of the boards would string me up and feed me to insects if I even tried to defend a single one of my chat logs.

Anyways, the point of this post is to share with you a few things I've learned as a toxic player. Here goes.

No matter what, you're always in the wrong. It doesn't matter if the other guy is intentionally feeding, it doesn't matter if they're name calling, it doesn't matter if they started the flame way, it doesn't matter if they're begging for reports in all chat, it doesn't matter if they're blatantly lying about what you're saying or doing. You are always in the wrong. Riot doesn't give a fuck about justice, the community doesn't give a fuck about justice, you just have to learn to keep your mouth shut and take whatever dicking you get.

It's much easier to intentionally feed and get away with it. If you can learn to not care about your accounts ranking, you can just "accidentally" feed 5 kills in lane and make sure there's no chance of winning the game for your team. This is a lot more effective than trying to argue with another toxic shitbag, and it has the bonus of guaranteeing a loss for that douchebag (and you get a loss too because you're just as bad as he is!) Plus, it's pretty hard to detect intentional feeding, especially when you're a mid-silver shitter like me. The negatives are you're causing a loss for 3 potentially innocent teammates, but in my experience, those 3 fuckers were going to report you for flaming the 0/6/1 shit talking Xin Zhao jungle anyways, so fuck em.

Being the bigger person doesn't feel good at all. You just end up having to take all the shit people want to say to you, which makes you play worse, which causes even more of your teammates to talk shit. The worst part is, you type like 3 messages in retaliation and you're automatically x4 reported and 20 game chat restricted.

Enjoy the good games. Every one in a while, you get a game where you're playing well, your team is playing well, and everyone's having a good time joking around and talking, etc. Remember those games. When every account you own gets banned, you can still think about the few fun times you had playing this piece of shit of a game. I still have fond memories of adding a ton of randos during season 3 and just chatting them up after game because we had so much fun in game. It seems like that rarely happens anymore, if ever, but I'm not sure if that's just perception bias, or maybe I'm more of a toxic shitbag now than I was then.

Don't get your account back while grinding to 30. I'm pretty sure it's against the rules to mention acquiring an account through any other means, so I won't address that here, but I will tell you that getting a level 28 account banned felt shittier than getting my last 2 silver accounts banned. I couldn't even get into ranked before I flamed too hard. That's kinda just sad. Oh well.

I know I'm supposed to take full accountability for everything I said, but I just can't understand how a troll or another toxic player isn't at fault AT ALL in these situations. Maybe I'll learn to control myself better the fifth time around.

Sidenote, are there any games you enjoy more than League nowadays? I've never had an issue with flaming in other games, but I haven't been able to find one that interests me as much as League in a while.

The Eye for an Eye philosophy never works. If someones feeding, giving you shit , trolling, etc. Shrug it off, mute them and move on. Retaliation never works , it just leads to a worse game.

Yep, I completely agree with your assessment.

Unfortunately Riot makes the rules and the rules are HEAVILY leftist/feminist leaning so we run into situations like the one you are describing.

./ignore all works for me sadly this is the only way to play Riots game.

As someone who has had two accounts banned (technically it was a permanent suspension for the name with "meth" in it, but nevertheless it was banned for "hacking") I can agree with this.

On my original account, my first account, I was not new to toxicity. Starcraft, WoW, MW2/3/BO2 etc, have their share of disgusting people and abusive players. But when I started playing League about a year ago, I was immediately taken back by how much people get away with on the all chat. There was one specific player that I eventually blocked after playing 3 random games at different intervals, all in the course of a month that was probably one of the most hateful people I have met on the internet. Players on League like that are rampant and I had the hardest time figuring out how they weren't banned.

I'm with you on this entirely, the Tribunal is absolutely broken and has little to no impact on removing toxicity. I still have screenshots of the game I received a suspension on, in which I believe 3 different players told me in various ways to kill myself for losing lane and not once did I say anything that could be harassing, instead I was defending myself. Leading up to the suspension I recorded the conversations of players who used the report system to flag me, although most of the time I would be defending myself for not doing well in lane, asking for ganks, not following up, etc. I've heard rumors from people who have talked to Riot that a system is in place that automatically doles out verbal abuse chat bans, while suspensions and permabans are done by the employees themselves.

Nevertheless, I ended up giving up on trying to fight my case and made a new account as it became clear that Riot did not want to budge on it, despite my ability to provide said pictures and the fact that it began taking up too much time. As sad as it is, my experience is probably a repeat of many, where instead of even trying to use the chat anymore despite what I try to say, I usually just mute my whole team to avoid the chance of receiving any ban. If this was any other case where I was toxic and know that I was being an asshat, I'd chalk it up that I was an asshat and say that I need to improve on things. But I've been told I would be reported for saying things like "OP" or "rekt" even if I'm talking fun on myself for making a bad play AND I received a chat ban from a few of those games.

OP I feel you man. When I first started playing I would occasionally trash talk, and would never insult people using hate speech or actually attack somebody. But now I don't even use the /all chat or even team chat out of fear of getting this account banned, where I actually have done a lot better in ranked and climbing. Honestly I hope Riot fixes their broken system, but it's probably not going to happen. I don't blame them entirely, as a lot of the problem is with the playerbase. Many of the toxic players I run into nowadays are platinum and higher, meaning that they are not new and have learned how to get around the system while still being toxic assholes.

Until then, I find listening to music and completely muting everybody at least protects you from the broken Tribunal. Good luck!

Someone flamed you? Did someone troll or feed in your games? Were you up against a scripter? Are you having a bad day? Are you having technical problems?

I don't play League to vent my personal frustration, I play League to have fun. Whatever it is that's happened, I may be able to help.

I can give you counseling, tell you jokes, help you sort out your technical problems, teach you how to improve your mindset, give you advice about the psychological aspects, the mechanical aspects and even teach you how to improve your chances significantly.

But make no mistake, if you insult me or ruin my games, most of that goes away and I will report you. I won't be a douche about it, I'll just do it.
