Toxicity

The last few ranked I have played have ruined my experience in the game. But it wasn't just these few games that totally ruined, it was the whole summation of my experience that this game has given me. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE this game and everything about it. I have been playing since season 1 and have many enjoyable moments no it. My reason for the lack of interest in this game has been the community. As i look through the boards i see plenty of players that i wish i was matched with. But all i seem to get matched with is the most toxic of players. So i make a mistake in a game, we all do, that doesn't mean you have to trash me every 5 seconds about that mistake. and even if i end up winning the game for us, im still getting trashed. How is this acceptable. Of course i mute. in face, i haven't had a game on my match history where i didn't have to end up muting somebody on our team or theirs. I report as frequently as i remember too as well. I have heard the phrase "just ignore them" but when this game is a player vs player game, how can ignore my teammates when communication is key to winning? in a normal it doesn't affect me as much, because i don't care if i win or lose. But when i play ranked i have to keep them unmuted at least for the most part so that i can see when they say something important. The only time i seem to enjoy this game is when i have 4 friends playing with me, because they won't trash me. But even then their is still toxicity on the other team. I know that riot is hardcore at cleaning up the community and has banned a lot of players for it, but i still don't how to avoid this. I hear some players talking about how they don't see as many toxic players. So why do i see so many? Is there a special que for toxic players? and how would i know if i am in said que? Personally i don't think im toxic. i sometimes don't even talk in chat besides the occasional "care" or a suggestion how we should proceed. I've never been banned, i haven't been reported as far as i know. and nobody calls me toxic in games. Just wondering if there is anything special i should do differently.

Who cares about what people say. Improve yourself and leave the toxicity behind.

There is only so much constant beration one person can take before it starts to make them lose interest in the thing they are doing. I find myself going to play a different game. I play many mulitplayer games, and League has to have the most toxicity of them all. Minus maybe Call of Duty, which i don't play anymore for the same reason

Stop being so sensitive. Seriously.

if you aren't going to contribute to the conversation positively then please go post somewhere else. I'm posting this to get it to Riot's attention.

Riot doesn't care. You're being sensitive again.

Theres the mute button, use it if your getting flamed.

as i stated in the post, i do use it, but in ranked it takes away from team communication

Use it in ranked then....clearly not using it isn't working out very well for you, you may as well...

Yeah, I am kind of in the same boat. I've come to the conclusion that if they are flaming, they really aren't saying anything useful in chat. But that's my experience.
