Jokes Misinterpreted

Before we start, I will say I've never been banned or punished in any way. I'm just wondering if, with the current report checking system, the checkers might miss this.

In virtually any game I'm in where there is no teemo present, I will say in all chat at some point "Report Teemo". I'm just wondering if the people checking reported games can see that there is no teemo present, meaning I'm being funny, not toxic. I want to know this before I get a chat ban or something for this.

Edit: Thx for all the responses guys. You're making me realize there are other people who make jokes in game and play to have fun. I hope we all get to stay for the long haul.

Who are you making this joke to? "Report teemo" when there is no teemo, maybe ur being reported for bad jokes.

First, you'd need people to choose to report you for calling for reports against nobody in the game. Then, you'd need that to happen frequently, in order to trigger a case against you to show up in the system. Those two requirements alone make it incredibly unlikely that you'd even have a strong enough case for the system to review your behavior. Have you even gotten one of the pop-up notices that you were recently reported?

Sounds like your fear is that the system is out there in a big-brother kind of way, watching everything everybody says in every game, hoping to catch people making the slightest mistake, or using certain trigger phrases/words. It doesn't really work that way. The system won't look into your case until enough reported games come up against you for the system to merit a review. We don't really know exactly what it's looking for, but I'm sure it's more sophisticated than simply seeing "report x" in each game and triggering a punishment off that.

I joke like this occasionally. "Report Teemo" and there's no Teemo, or "Report X for feeding" when they carried and only died once. People typically understand it's a joke. They aren't inclined to report you if they understand that, and if they don't report the system won't flag the match. Even when the system can't tell it's a joke, it's designed to not punish you unless you get reported very often for that behavior.

Let's say you jokingly ask to report someone every game and everyone understands it's a joke, but someone randomly reports you in every game. The system may punish you, but 1) This would be extremely rare, and 2) You can ticket for a manual review and Riot can remove the punishment. The system is very accurate, but it's not perfect.

What you're saying is you stole my joke? "Report Teemo, we haven't seen him all game" or "If teemo were here, this would be different" and such things are MY jokes. I invented them and you may not use them anymore.

Also worth nothing are "This lux is really not that bright" "Vlad sucks" "this Janna blows", etc.

I make dumb jokes like this nearly every game and I havent ever gotten so much as a warning, so I think you're safe. Just make sure you make up your own jokes and quit stealing mine. :p

If you aren't being reported for it, it's probably fine because the system likely won't investigate. However, if you are, the system might think it's actual harassment. Virtually everything except for permanent bans is automated and like all computer systems, it won't be good at detecting sarcasm or even understanding when you just quote someone.

I mean, I have seen many times people make jokes, like "REport teemo for satan" even without any Teemo in the game.
