Add an Option In Settings To Mute Yourself for X Seconds After Dying

I main jungle. Sometimes I'll gank and I get frustrated that I got killed, and then I'm in a bad mood. So instantly my instinct is to trashtalk the lane for "not engaging." Sometimes they legitimately did not, but more often I'm just being an idiot. Could we have an option to mute ourselves for X seconds until we calm down? I haven't been punished yet, but I can tell my 14-day ban is coming. Please... I don't want to lose my account.

how about... dont press enter? rebind the enter key to a random key? move the chat out of the window so you dont see it anymore?

while this could be a good idea, i would also suggest to learn to just not type and self control when feeling like you should. though it can be hard, it can be done. best of luck on that.

Remove the enter key from your keyboard before the match?

Even if they "legitimately did not", thats no excuse to trash talk.

I am not trying to legitimately offend them, I just get irritated after dying unless I'm crazy fed.

Just dont?

Try this - type it in, then delete it all and continue playing.

I'm guessing you don't actually care about telling the other person something you just want to vent.

Perhaps I could code the game so Enter deletes my message instead?

That might be possible but it might trigger the script detection. Technically, directly modifying the client is against ToS so I wouldn't recommend it.
