What a Fresh Environment to Return to After Over a Year

Now this title is a little bit sardonic, and a bit hyperbolic. For the most part, my experience in returning to the game has been a far better cross section than when I last played (granted, when I left I was playing ranked regularly, and haven't touched it this season). But the players who are negative really take the cake this time around. Which brings me to this story where all players will remain anonymous.

It's uncommon for my group of friends to all be online at once, and in this case, still wasn't the case. Only 4 of us were on. So, we wanted to try a game together because most of us were itching for an SR after loads of ARAM. Now, to give a context of this 4 man composition, it wasn't the best, but we wanted to try and evenly distribute everyone best as possible of having our weakest players in top, and in bot with our skilled support main protecting their butt. Well, dynamic queue didn't agree and distributed players in this manner:

Plat2: top lane (far away as possible from everyone) Silver1: Jungle Bronze4+(unranked-player-who-returned-briefly-after-two-year-hiatus): Bot Lane Random Fill: Midlane

As expected, our botlane fed gloriously, mid did fairly average, with our top and jungle holding onto the game for a good while (around 40 minutes) with the best kda trying to carry the game against an unbelievably fed Lucian (I think he ended at around 23 kills).

Halfway through the game, the mid started having that usual "pub player raging breakdown" which I've grown fairly accustomed to tuning out. Crying out for "open mid" threatening to AFK, mildly flaming our team for every mistake. With exception of saying "we are not open mid", we politely ignored him. Coming towards the tail end of the game and further spilling over into the post game lobby, this player started crying out for the enemy team to report our vayne (the unranked player) for trolling, flaming, and "AFK inciting" whatever that's supposed to mean.

Now of course, we report the guy for this, but it's just something fresh I've never dealt with before in League. I've seen people ask for reports for unskilled players "intentionally feeding" or just playing terribly but never fabricate stories just to get someone who was playing bad to get banned for things unrelated to their play that never happened.

As much as my time returned to the game has seemed fairly improved, it's just those nasty rare occasions that just...they really stick out and embitter the entire experience. Also wonder how people like this seem to make it so far in the game if they can't seem to maintain any tiny bit of composure when things go wrong. This is a pvp game, you will have wins, you will have losses, you are playing against people just like you on the other end who want to win and stifle your attempts just as much as you do to them.

EDIT:

I think people missed the point of what I was trying to say.

-the problem isn't that the guy got mad -the problem isn't that he lashed out, it's understandable -whether or not my friends in bot were plat or bronze, they could have still fed -it wasn't about avoiding a surrender that dragged on the game, it was having a comeback and starting to focus/pick lucian out and winning teamfights

The problem was this guy intentionally tried to get someone else banned because they performed terribly. He explicitly lied to us (not knowing we were premade) and the opposing team that the Vayne was trolling and flaming the entire game, calling for both sides to report them.

It's a normal. Anyone who gets mad in normal game I ignore.

Been there. It's frustrating.

Best advice I can give you, though, is to power through it and move on. League is predisposed to pissing people off when somebody fails to perform, because virtually no other game punishes somebody for having weak teammates like League does. It's an unfortunate product of the design that isn't going to go away very soon.

You basically set up a game to ruin a random players experience. You fed Lucian 25 kills, and were surprised when someone was frustrated? I agree that they should calm down, but what did you expect?

If you're bronze you have no business with a plat player on your team. You set this guy up for a loss the second you queued up. I'm willing to bet you refused to surrender, and just let Lucian roam around and kill everyone for 40 minutes. You trapped someone in an unfair insta-loss with you, and are here whining about them being mad. They can't just quit, they are forced to deal with your feeding bot lane all game.

You created a frustrating situation for the other player, refused to let him move on to another game, then reported him for being upset. You are the problem.
