Ranked intended pick ban. Riot please <3.

So. I just played a ranked game where we lost because someone had banned my intended pick and so i banned the other player's intended pick which allowed vayne to get through champ select. There were multiple other factors in the game obviously. I had to panic pick a champ etc. I sent in a report about the player but wanted to follow up with a post on boards to catch a rioter's attention so this person doesn't troll other ranked queues. Especially since this was one of my placement matches. :( I'll omit the name of the player for now but will have it on hand for riot if they would like to aid me. Mordekaiser is sad.

It's not against the rules to ban someone's champ. Everyone gets one ban and can use it however they like.

That's not even trolling, let alone against the rules. Also, you did the same thing to him, so if it was punishable you would get punished equally.

The thing is, they could've banned your pick on accident, but you did ban theirs on purpose.

First situation can't be considered trolling, because I've done it, and felt like shit afterwards, specially if those people OTP the hell out of that champ, now if I had my pick banned because they're like "HAHA, THIS IS REVENGE ON YOU BANNING MY CHAMP, KYS", then that's more towards the trolling area, but it still isn't trolling per se, because as others have said, bans are bans, people can do whatever they want with them.

banning someone's pick is not bannable. however, what you did is incredibly rude since it was done out of spite. the first person likely did it by accident or because of pick order and not the intent to troll. don't blame them for your loss. maybe you would've still won if you hadn't banned their champ or still lost even if they hadn't banned your champ. you were probably typing when you "panic picked" right?

It sucks to have someone ban your champ. But, sadly it isn't against the rules. I get a little tilted when someone bans a really good pick for me, and I end up having to use another champ that's not as good in a match against my opponents. Majority of the time, I don't show who I am going to play before banning. It's not 100% that they won't ban your champ, but it lessens the possibility a little.

Maybe the other dude had a reason for banning the champ you wanted to play.

IDK, maybe you were last to pick and that champion could snowball the game and carry?

You purposely banning his champion on purpose in retaliation was an absolute dick move.
