Being held hostage : problems with surrender vote

I just had a game where out of 4 man premade 2 of them were afk for over 10 minutes. The premades refused to surrender the 3 vs 5 game. Meanwhile the enemy was verbally abusing us the whole time.

Why is this allowed? Why do we need surrender option if half the team is missing?

This is beyond stupidest thing Riot should have fixed ages ago. If 2 people afks for more then 5 minutes the game should automatically end.

I asked 1 of the premades why we did not surrender. He said he is a not a coward. WTF

At least let people leave the garbage game without receiving punishment for it if 2 people afk long enough.

in my opinion the way that you cant leave games when you are having a bad time is the most toxic thing in league of legends.

in any other video game i play if im not having fun i can just turn it off. but LoL im stuck for sometimes 30 more minutes suffering. its not a good feeling.

Suck it up or get banned son. Their behaviour is your fault and you need to take responsibility for it. It's all about fostering a healthy community -didn't you know?

It's a surrender vote for a reason. Your teammates are permitted to vote yes or no based on their own desire to surrender.
