I don't get it

So <removed by moderation> comes into game. He intentionally bans my champion. Then he trolls in champ select about it. He comes into game and starts taking my jungle camps right away. I asked that he be reported. I continued to ask throughout the game as this ashe did things THE WHOLE game like say "Just stay under Tower and we can win" like not in a constructive way, but obviously trolling. Just stood there to be killed multiple times. Literally stood right there and tried to steal my jungle camps. The whole game sarcastically saying things to make the chat appear as if she was "trying". And I end up with a chat restriction. I don't get it. She like actually trolled the whole game, and I am the one who gets punished, not only by losing LP, but also with chat restriction? Come on, Riot. People who behave that way do NOT deserve to be in ranked.

Seriously, she wasn't just "bad" I can deal with that. She was a straight-up troll all the way from Champ select. Someone needs to go review that game and give her a real ban and remove my restriction.

The issue is you could just report them and move on or better, report them, record the match then send the file to riot support which would get much better results than asking here.

Also, You got chat banned for constantly asking for reports and someone reported you for spamming chat.

It is just so frustrating when I am trying to climb and people INTENTIONALLY stop me and NOTHING happens. SO FRUSTRATING

Sorry that you've been punished, but if you share your logs, we could better help you understand your punishment. That being said, asking for reports continuously can contribute to your chat restriction.

What I just read is "She can troll as long as she pretends to be nice". That is ridiculous. She was definitely reported, and yes Others need to report for it to mean anything. I didn't "spam Chat" I said it maybe 4 times in the game and explained what she was doing.

You admitted that you were asking for reports throughout the whole game... of course you got a chat restrict. I wish Riot was better at punishing trolls though. Obviously they suck in that department.

This is how Rito's punishment system works, get used to it....

Trolls are free to troll until they do the 6 tear rundown or something like that, but if you give a little voice to your frustration, since your game is ruined, you will get punished. Do not use the chat at all, the only way to stay unpunished....

Yeah, I gotta say that this system is trash. Trolls should be banned. Period. There needs to be a system for THAT.

It is not fair, and I feel you my dude. Riot is hard on punishing people for things they say, but seem to be lax when it comes to actual trolls. They even banned Dunkey from their game for telling a troll off.

She understood how the punishment system works. That's why she did that. Riot's chat system is so punishing that people choose to grief instead of raging. :)

Negative chat is punished, regardless of circumstance.

I certainly wouldn't advocate bans for being unskilled. That isn't what this was (although that may be true as well).

I also pinged her when she was stealing camps and sitting in base while we fought so the others could see what was happening.

What about trolling in ranked? How many times does that take? And why isn't there an option to report for it? And if it only takes ONE report, why wasn't anything done?

Taking CSGO as an example to the player moderating system: (I'm not asking League to apply that, just mentioning it to see how people will react should these features be applied to League)

  • Overwatch: You watch a demo of someone hacking/trolling and determine whether "suspect" is guilty or not (demo watched and determined by many people)

  • Ban: Usually 30 minutes to 7 days toward griefing, inappropriate chat. Other major disruptive behavior = indefinite ban (forever) = lose account.

I sometimes find their ban to be super serious, sometimes too serious. But it's Valve games, they can do whatever they want. If Riot applies indefinite ban to those trolling for the first time, controversy will rise among the community.
