Playing New Champs

People of the interwebs

Why does it seem whenever you play a new champ, and if you don't play them perfectly you get flamed at? Even after you tell them it's your first time with that champ? I know this community has its... problems, but really. I just played my first game as Anivia, and I was missing stuns and dying a lot because, of course, it was my first time Anivia. Now our top laner, a Kennen, is getting all mad at me and stuff, and I'm like, it's my first time Anivia, chill out. Then he goes and says "well it's my first time Kennen. You have no excuses." I then proceed to say that Kennen is much easier to play then Anivia. He then says "Anivia is just about as easy to play as Kennen. Easier even". Which doesn't even make sense cause she is probably one of the most mechanically hard champs in the game. Sorry if this seems like a rant, but I just felt annoyed and needed to get this off me.

Kennen is harder than Anivia imo

Just mute and even if it is ranked fuck them. It's a video game, and you can play it however you want.

You are taking a serious risk by playing a new champ in ranked. Your four teammates are trying to help YOU win and help YOU get promoted. You are thanking them by playing champs you aren't as experienced at and threatening their progress.

anivia is far from the most mechanical intense champs.

What she requires is knowledge of her range and movement predictions. Lesser about mechanics though.

They are both difficult, just in different ways. This causes some people to think one or the other is harder. A lot of people get really defensive when they think they are going to lose and "there is nothing they can do to stop it", which there is they just would rather whine.

Keep trying at it, Anivia is one of my favorite characters and she is really good if you practice with her. Don't let people get you down and try to play in a premade if you can.
