Is It Bannable to Call Someone Autistic? (VENT WARNING)

Ok,

So last game I was mid Vel'Koz versus a Zoe. She was objectively better, and Lee Sin kept ganking. Our support (Thresh) was not happy about how I was constantly dying. He soon after started calling me things like garbage, trash, and to "stop acting autistic". Now normally I'm not too annoyed by these things as he's just a guy behind a screen and can't hurt me IRL. But the problem there is it was totally uncalled for. It was obvious I was having a bad game. He got mad and proceeded to feed a kill and then disconnect from a still winnable game. I just want to see justice done, but I don't wanna be THAT guy (AKA BAN HIS ASS NOW RITO PLZ).

Have you had experiences similar? Feel free to vent here with me.

Yes it is bannable, Riot considers things like "Autistic" and "Retarded" as hate speech. Not as harsh as other things but they take it pretty seriously.

It should offend me more because I actually have autism :/ .

Anything negative is penalizable. **So don't insult. In general. Period. **

So if they say anything insulting, report em.

Well 2 days ago I was playing syndra and my whole team was mad because I wasn't playing so well I did keep dying but I didn't mean to.

So here's what happened gnar called me a ni**** like he just flat out called me that the full word not censored or anything, and what I told him hey that's actually pretty offensive to me because I am black he continue to tell me that I shouldn't be offended and then He just continued calling me that Then I told him that I was going to report him and then he just continue to calling me names and then I was bickering with him back and forth and then the Yasuo chimed in telling me to shut up and stop complaining you know after I was called a racial slur and then I was bickering back and forth with him and then he called me a thot (I'm also a female so that's pretty offencive towards me) he just kept calling me that And then I said I was going to report him and then Zack said that the only person who's going to get reported was me and he was like you are going to get 4 reports For feeding and then he told me that I had Down syndrome and then yasuo said that I had Down syndrome and so did gnar... They were just harassing me extremely bad so I did get in contact with Riot and I told them what had happened and all of them got punished.. and honestly I've never experienced that level of toxicity ever like ever it was honestly horrible telling me that I'm trash and crap is one thing but just to start calling me racial slurs and all that crap it's just crossing the line and I'm just not going to stand for it... But saying something is retarded isn't a hate crime at all it's something people have been saying for a while but I guess the snowflakes got to get their fix somehow.

In today's internet, "autistic = even slightly weird"

Kinda sad tbh

In what perfect world have you been raised that causes you to ask such a ridiculous question about insults? Any insult ever should have consequence. I went to school with a few people that have autism, many of them don't take insults lightly. Hell, even normal people are affected negatively. Anyone with decent self-esteem will be affected by insults because they start to question their own existence. It's a mind worm that takes a long time to remedy.

It's used as an insult, and yet... some of the best players I've seen IRL have been Autistic.

some autistic ppl are srsly smart. i wudnt consider it a straight up insult

on the internet its pretty much used in tons of memes as well so I would say you are too sensitive and/or serious. Lighten up abit and you won't be upset so often

Well I mean, it kinda is a derogatory word. But I dunno how the system behaves. I do agree that such things were uncalled for and I don't understand why people can't just chill. I mean I'm in no position to complain as I'm not the superb player of all (see link below) but I don't get pissed about it, or when others are bad, I mean damn.

if it's the only thing he said, maybe not.

but if he said a bunch of other shit too, absolutely.

Yes it is bannable. Just mute them next time.

I wish this were true. I just played a game where a player called me autistic and i reported him for hate speech after game and nothing was done. Seems people get away with this quite frequently as last week a player called me the N word and i reported him as well for hate speech and nothing was done then either. This automated system seems to be missing a lot to be honest which makes me wonder if Riot seriously cares. Why else would these players do this in game other than they found a way around the flawed system.
