Why did you get Banned?

So, overall, the Player Behavior boards are a pretty gloomy place.

Really gloomy.

Now, the most common type of post here is the "Why did I get banned", and, after looking through them, the answer is largely the same.

A) You were really toxic B) You were sort of toxic, and you just got off of a 14 day ban

But a lot of people still don't get this.

Their most common responses are

A) But I have spent a lot of money on this game! This is just Riot trying to get more money out of me!

The answer of course is, money spent on LoL doesn't matter when you are banned, a free to play player has just as much of a chance of getting banned as a player who has spent thousands.

The other response is

B) But I was just defending myself, my teammates were ganging up on me!

Okay, they all ganged up on you, which sucks. However, you are still responsible for your own actions. If you called someone a %%%%%% that is still on you, and you can be perm banned for this. The simple solution to this problem is to mute and report.

Then we get into the slurs and hate speech and speech that advocates self harm.

Things like n&&&&& f&&&&& and "kys" fall under this category.

Using any of these can and will get you perm banned.

No exceptions, because:

A) It breaks the Summoners Code (helpfully placed for all to see at the top of this thread) in several places. B) It is offensive and derogatory language in general C) It is against the Terms of Service that you agreed to when you first started playing

A final note. If you were perma banned, it will not be reversed unless it was a mistake

This was meant to be a guide to help players who don't understand why you were banned. If you have any further questions about why you were banned, submit a ticket to support (https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us) or make a forum post where helpful players will answer you.

Have a nice day!

That's really helpful except when they decide to unban popular streamers just cause. I'm pretty sure I've got the most screwed story when it comes to how I got a permaban (I'm about to rip into Support about it again after about a year and a half on another account with absolutely no disciplinary action) and even though I was having what could be considered one of the worst days possible (I'll explain if need be) I still didn't go out of my way to ruin another's game, I just lost my temper and lost my language filter. Literally it was just I dropped too many F-bombs.

Oh, and said account had about $2000 in value counting legacy and limited skins and such.

Anyways the point is there are people who can go 0/50 in ranked cause they didn't get the role they wanted and they STILL have their accounts. Because muh Twitch publicity

Let me just add that those "helpful" players just get butthurt and downvote people who try to be reasonable. Also for a company that's all about reforming and all that crap the whole concept of permanent bans is very VERY outdated.

That's what Lyte's PhD in psych gets you though ;D
