Riot will never tell you the outcome of cases over email.

The game client tells us when our report resulted in punishment.

Your report triggered a punishment against someone, the report was the final straw That could be last game or 600 games ago.

So, I mean you don't directly know who was punished(keeps identity hidden)

Riot won't tell you the outcome of others cases over email They have no problem doing so for your case Unless you ask for specifics as to why you banned for 3rd party hacks riot doesn't say there

I know a way around this.

What is so important about keeping the identity of banned players hidden? What is so important about keeping the identity of innocent players hidden?

To prevent any naming & shaming, such as screenshotting the banned player and post it on Facebook & go "HAHA HE DESERVED IT!".

Or in the case of a player being chat restricted, it's to avoid you attempting to add him & go "HAHA U GOT CHAT RESTRICTED, DIDNT YA? :D"
