A game in ARAM went sour on me

I'm not sure if i'm on the right board but I just got out of a game, a game that I didn't do great on but I would have still liked the win. Now at first I was like "this is a sure loss we are up against a katarina, malphite, fiddlesticks, and a garen." I thought for sure there was no way we could win. Against all odds we actually pulled through with a win. We were on the nexus and all was fine and dandy, but then all of a sudden a surrender vote pops up. "oh how funny but i don't wanna risk an actual passing vote," I thought so i voted no. IN A 4 TO 1 DECISION WE SURRENDERED. I was literally FORCED into a loss and this is not okay.

Sure it's just aram, but you can still get key fragments, what if I had gotten one, and i'm not sure if IP and Mastery score is affected by winning or losing too but that's still important to me too. Especially when I'm playing champs I normally don't play on SR.

If it helps, my friends and I love to put up the surrender vote as a joke (in normals as well as ranked). For example, we might be doing really well, just won a teamfight and on our way to win, then a surrender vote pops up because a penta was stolen. Then, all of us laughing, vote yes assuming others will vote no. Oops. Still ends up being something we'll laugh over as a dumb mistake, so my advice is just think of it as something so stupid that it's funny.

It's not funny though. It's so stupid that it's stupid especially when i am being FORCED into a loss. That's not a funny at all.

Perhaps not conventionally funny, but I at least think it's so dumb that it's funny. Being forced into a loss isn't something you should experience in the game, but it can happen, whether by mistake or by teams who want to surrender while you don't. I think in your situation context matters too. Did your team WANT to legitimately surrender, or was it a dumb mistake on their part? If the latter, they're being punished too with the loss, and can hopefully laugh it off as a dumb mistake they made, one that lacked malicious intent.

Well I had already said we had won, We were on the nexus and only one person had spawned while we were attacking it, and whoever started the surrender vote clearly intended for it to be a joke. If you think that's funny then fine that's your sense of humor not mine.

You missed out on a couple IP. Which is so minor you won't ever miss it. And you're upset because you may have gotten a key, but you may not have gotten a key either, so again, there's nothing to be upset about. Chill out, the loss means NOTHING, and it is objectively kind of funny.

Unless your team confirmed they intended to completely surrender, or wanted to surrender with malicious intent, I don't think it's worth getting upset over. It could have just been a dumb mistake, which sucks, but wasn't meant to cause any harm. Not trying to dictate how you should react or saying our sense of humor has to be the same of course, just giving my two cents on how I'd feel in such a situation.

I already said it was a 4 to 1 vote. That's pretty complete since I was the only one to vote no. Sure It's not worth getting upset over, you can say that about any game. "ITS JUST A GAME" can be the go to for any reason someone gets upset in a multiplayer game, yet every single complaint about losing ranked games over a sole player is ALWAYS validated by the boards. Never see the "it's just a game" posts in those threads get a ton of support.

Ya, people who pull this kind of stuff are just jerks. Especially in Rank its just awful, and I'm sure I remember someone complaining about getting ban for pulling something like this.
