How is this a thing? Literally, Gold players are some of the most chill people I've ever played with while Platinum is full of trolls, toxicity, and people calling for open mid at 5 minutes. Fix your shit, Riot.

Honest question -- even if we do assume this is 100% accurate and all Gold players are more chill than all Platinum players, how would it be Riot's fault? They cannot control the temperament of players. You may have found Platinum more toxic (which is unfortunate), but the MMR system simply cares about wins/losses, so if those players are in Platinum instead of Gold than, on average, they are better players as far as the system is concerned.
