People Breaking Rules in Friend Chat?

So a few games ago I played with two toxic players. While it was irritating I shrugged it off. After the match however one friend requested me. I assumed he just wanted to flame more but thinking they might've wanted to apologize so I accepted his request. As expected, it was just more toxicity, but much worse than what he said in game. So my overall question is, why can't we report people for breaking rules in friend chat? The things he said were definitely worth a long chat restriction, if not a multiple day ban.

Well, while private chat is not entirely unmoderated, if you accept a request from someone that was flaming all game you're accepting that you're probably going to get more of it. Giving them the benefit of the doubt is nice, but you should understand the risk that they are far more likely just going to flame you again if you allow it. If you are getting something like threats or scams in a personal message, submit screenshots in a Support Ticket under the request type I have a question and the category Game & Features::General Questions, but otherwise just don't accept those requests.

I'm not sure why Riot hasn't done something about this yet. When this kind of thing happens, though, the best thing to do is to screenshot the messages and open a support ticket with Riot.

Because you opted into the experience of talking to them and you can opt out at anytime.

If he had the time to add you to flame probably means you deserve it
