Playing Ranked is a frustrating experience.

I feel like every 3-5 games I'm having to report players for being negative foul and harassing their team. Usually mute them and try to concentrate on the game but It's frustrating that I can't communicate with my team. I get jumped when I tell my top laner he needs to farm when he's 0/6/0 and 7 cs at 15 minutes and they get pissed when I tell them they need to practice outside of ranked.

Ranked really just feels like roulette when playing support. 1 in ten I get a good team that does well, 4 in ten I get a winable game that's usually a 40 minute clown fiesta where I end up blowing all my skills/items to win a teamfight, 1 in ten the enemy somehow threw the game usually a pick at baron or a tower, and the remaining 4 in ten are complete losses with atleast 3 lanes(jungle) losing. Most of it is jungle or adc pressure, if I get a decent gank and get one of them going then the game snowballs in my favor. Sometimes I can roam and help the sololanes get ahead but It sometime doesn't pay off if my carry gets killed.

Despite my frustrations I still want to climb and get better at the game. I try to support my team mates however I can: ward when they get camped, help gank a fed top, keeping vision on objectives, peeling for damage dealers, building items that help the team. Supporting doesn't feel like a weak role but it's really hard to carry a game, I have to keep an eye on the enemy jungler, duel the bot lane, constantly watch the minimap for midlane roams, hope to god the top laner doesn't tp in a skirmish bot, and keep an adc safe that either farms nonstop and never teamfights or pokes the enemy laners, fights and loses lots of farm, or the adc feeds and dies because they are playing a meta champ they haven't mastered.

Is there a way to project more positive criticism in ranked League and to help encourage people that are clearly having bad games or not good enough to be playing ranked at their skill level? The main issue I have is players not farming or pushing waves, ganks happen and people can feed and thats unintentional, but getting half the farm of your opponent is all on the player.

The hard part about league, especially during a match, is employing constructive criticism and giving people honest-to-goodness advice. Most people will take it as an insult or an affront... because that's what the vocal community tells them everything everyone says is--toxic garbage spew. In the long run, there's little you can do about other people's mistakes, they either notice them or they don't. If they're not open to external criticisms of any type, you simply can't help them, regardless of how much you wish too.

Kudos on you sticking to being a support main, we don't have enough of those. :3 What would probably improve your odds is finding yourself a permanent ADC to duo with. Not just any random ADC, -the- ADC. I know, that sounds like nonsense, but you've paired with a bunch of random ADCs by now, right? You know how each ADC is different, the one for you is a special ADC, one who synergizes with your playstyle, and yours with them.

Outside of that, do your best to keep other lanes abreast of the map. Ping objectives the team should be focused on, ping caution/fall backs if people are chasing too hard. Don't overdo the pings, that'll get you flamed at for spamming pings. Ping, wait two, ping, wait two, ping. If they don't get the idea, then it's a waste of time to keep pinging it. Caution/fall backs are a little more acceptable to spam a bit more.

If they're right on the objective, but they refuse to hit it because they're spending too much effort trying to pick a fight with the enemy team who has pretty much given the objective... spam the objective a little more. During laning phase, there isn't a lot you can do for the other lanes. You'll often have to let at least one lane burn, whether it's top or bot. You can help one and mid, but not all three usually.(unless you got your ADC nice and fed really fast, and they're smart about their advantage so you can roam... don't count on them being smart about what they're given, though... expect the dumbzz)
