So let me get this straight, every time that my report doesn't result in a ban, the weight is lower.

How does this even remotely make sense? The ban system BARELY ever bans anyone in the first place, even the people who deserve it. So 90% of the time my reports don't mean shit, and secondly it lowers the 'weight' of my report because they weren't punished. This system is flawed beyond belief. I can't even believe that Riot Lyte actually gets paid for doing such an awful job working with the programming team to come up with this automated system.

Another thing I've noticed is that trio and quadra ques get away with MURDER when it comes to this banning system. I have seen them provoke people nonstop and then because they have more people reporting the person they antagonize, they get off scott-free and the person they bullied gets punished when he asks them to shut up and leave him alone and just play the game.

I know people will say "blah blah but riot says 1 report counts as 9", yeah bullshit. I've had enough people that I talk to in real life / have seen on stream get punished for multiple reports almost instantly while the people who troll them never get any kind of punishment.

There is so much work to be done on this game between balancing/punishments/ getting rid of this tank meta. What do you guys do at work @Riot?

That isn't completely accurate. Reports that are deemed false are thrown out and who ever issued the report has the value of their future reports lower. That said, not every valid report leads to a punishment. Most punishments are for patterns of behavior, not single incidents. Most of your reports wont immediately result in punishments. That isn't what is lowering their value.

Those instant punishments are instant no matter how many people reported them. The only thing that reports do is trigger reviews of someone's behavior. If someone said nothing and 1 million people reported them nothing would happen.

Your reports "weight" only gets lowered if it is a false report. Just because you had submitted a valid report and it wasn't the "straw that broke the camel's back" doesn't mean that your reports "weight" got lowered.

If someone is consistantly toxic and if they where on their last leg before a punishment: Any one of those reports in a "mass report" would have caused the game to be checked which could lead to a punishment.

I tend to agree, somewhat.

In the rare cases where someone is legitimately ban-worthy, the report is wasted and does nothing.... but rather, people reporting over dumbass bulls%%% will get others suspended/banned (ZMOG THIS GUY SAY YAG BACKWARDS, I AM REIOT AND WILLL BAN).

ur last paragraph contradicts the rest of ur essay in that first u were telling them to fix their report system, and then you ended by saying to fix actual gameplay issues regardless, if u report people every game, if u report people just because they say "ez" or because they hold control and spam 3, then your report shouldnt hold much weight, because that is ridiculous. only report people who are extremely toxic and it shouldnt be a problem lmfao
