My idea would be If you lose a game where someone has been afk for 5+ minutes they lose all the lp their team would have lost and their teammates lose none. I think this would stop people from just rage afking because of the massive loss and would spare the rage of teammates because no lp loss. Yet it's still a light enough punishment where if you get an internet crash, emergency, late for something etc you wouldn't feel too bad, thoughts?
That's too much. If someone is afk, then they should only lose the lp, yes. But it's not like that. Having them lose about 80+ lp because of an afk is a bit too much. It's not fair at all. Some people have things to do. Rage quitting is sad, yes. But it happens. You have to realize that. You can't stop it, and neither can riot. That's like saying "Hey, how about you afk if we get snowbally enough, that way if we lose then nobody loses lp other than you" and people would end up building accounts just for that free boost and the off chance of losing no lp.
Frequent afk's/dc's need to have their accounts banned, PERIOD. How many trips to the LPQ for these lazy idiots is enough? Start perma banning accounts for frequent trips to the LPQ and maybe the lazy idiots would straighten up or have to keep making new accounts.
So if I'm in a game and someone is clearly doing poorly and we are going to lose the game I will make sure that I and the other 3 teammates all gang up on him so that we cause him to have a terrible time to make him afk and save my precious LP.
Who knows if we are mean enough he might actually take his life. Sounds like a great idea...
Yes I have random internet problems and should lose all of my LP. That'll teach me to try and reconnect for twenty minutes to no avail. It's hard enough getting a decent team to get LP. Leaverbuster's pretty bad if you get it enough times. Trust me. I got it enough times. I'm at the max, I'm pretty sure. 20 minutes before you can get into queue and you have to play five matchmade games before it goes away. No expiration date and so far it hasn't come down from 20 minutes. I can't imagine being a non-support main and waiting that long to get in. I know it's not quite the justice you want carried out, but it still sucks...
They should just go back to banning people for repeatedly AFKing/leaving. The only way anyone is banned for that is through manual reviews, which are rare. Leaverbuster used to hand out actual bans for it, but ever since it was changed a few years ago its just a maximum punishment of 5 low priority ques.
How is losing 100LP not too harsh of a punishment?
