ARAM AFKers

Almost every ARAM game there is an afker who dcs immediately or after a few minutes, other players are late to the game missing first crucial minutes of the game. Nobody takes ARAM seriously while ranked is, which doesn't make any sense since 99% of players won't make money of it unless they're diamond 1 or higher, which again vast majority of players aren't. So if ranked and ARAM are just as serious in being just games for fun, why do you guys at RIOT tolerate this substantially higher afk attitude in ARAM. I talked to one guy who intentionally fed and he said reports in ARAM don't mean anything, I don't know if this is true, but I'm inclined to believe so. Just because ARAM is not considered "serious", what I'm supposed to be fine with losing while playing 3v5?
