Player Behavior and Influence

I love the League of Legends community and everything that it does to try and make itself a better place. I also love the League of Legends Boards because they are an excellent place for discussing... a lot of stuff.

What I notice, however, is that I sometimes worry I am too much of a "goody goody" because I voice myself when player behavior is less than exemplary. I often question whether or not I should be reporting an individual because I feel like I am spamming the report system. One thing that is never okay, however, and brings out anger and fear is the use of derogatory terminology. I myself am an easy to target to some of these terms, and too much of the time do I see some of these terms thrown around by people who also identify within the same spectrum as me that may normally be offended by these terms.

I believe that the LoL community is not a place to insight hateful behavior, which I see too often — be it a slur or just putting down another player because they did not meet expectations in game. I believe that "toxicity breeds toxicity" and that positive behavior is a positive influence; positive behavior should be the only influence.

Ummm.. few things aren't clear from your post.

Are you concerned about the behavior on the boards?

Concerned about spamming the system with reports?

Fear of using insults ingame?

Want more positive behavior reinforcement?

Emotions are your own personal truth. Dont worry about being goody goody. If someone says something that hurts you, then its objectively true that their words were hurtful to you. So report it. All that political talking point garbage about sjw and snowflakes is exactly that, political garbage. The only thing that matters is truth.
