Come on man

One game I get people who understand the game (losing or winning) and the next I get a team that's got 1 or 2 guys that dive repeatedly or afk farm or whatever all while ranting "you're bad" "you're toxic" "you're throwing"

trolls have figured out all you have to do is talk like you're about to give a report to a troll (and then report) and they can take whatever action in game and get away with it. griefing. whatever

AND, because of the way the community is, you CAN'T offer advice or positive critique after something bad happens or you'll get flamed, reported, etc. Even if the person you're addressing isn't a troll they just effed up.

"You f'd up and suck" is not helping

I'm at a loss for trying to communicate any other way than pings.

For anyone who snapped at me in a negative way just because you were having a bad league day, i get it man, you probably went through X games of amoral bullshit before we encountered each other

If they flame you, you can mute them, no harm done. I mean, having to mute someone sucks, but it sounds like you expect toxic behavior to start with, so it should only be a fairly minor annoyance for you. If they report you and your advice/critique is actually positive, then you have nothing to worry about.

Of course, pings can be an effective way to communicate even if you're confident in your chat abilities. But you shouldn't be afraid to chat unless you are toxic.
