My favorite part of the new honor system...

Is that I have played more games since the new system came out than probably 95% of players, get honored by 1-2 randoms every game, get 3 honors fairly regularly, and that I am still honor 3. I don't flame, afk, or troll, and am positive in chat (hence getting a lot of honors). The genius part of the new system is that I am still honor 3 and I just got harassed and flamed in game by 3 honor 5 players who were premade because my TF killed them. It's great. I also love how my friend who plays 3 days of the week has been honor 4 for two weeks. Whatever happened to "just show up, don't be an asshole, and you will progress over the coming weeks and months"?

TL;DR, I love the new honor system for rewarding flamers, toxic players, and players who don't play League much while solo queue players who get harassed all day by premades are left behind, feels good man.

Yep, Riot, in all of their infinite wisdom, created a system that was designed to specifically limit the honor you get and only give honor to people when they flame.

But seriously. How often do **you **honor people? Every game? Almost every game? Nearly ever? Because every game that all 5 people on your team honor someone, the whole team gets a small boost. If you regularly skip honoring players it will slow your progress.

If you randomly selected 20 players, you're confident that you'd have the most games played of the group? You must play a lot.

To be harassed all game requires that you avoid muting.

Arguing with toxic players distracts you and your team from focusing on the game. The IFS considers it negative behavior. If you're engaging the toxic players, you're likely to gain honor more slowly.

Valid reports slow down honor growth even when it's not quite enough to lead to a punishment. If the behavior is enough to warrant punishment, then honor is set to 1 or 0. The system is set up to NOT reward flamers or toxics.
