This is why no one has faith in the behavior system anymore.

I was just playing Lee Sin jungle in normals, and before the game started I told my team I haven't played Lee Sin in a year. Anyways, 8 minutes or so into the game I'm 4-0 and have killed top 3 times and mid once. Bot lane has died 5 times to Vayne Janna as Lucian Taric. Lucian flames me from this point on until the end of the game about 30 minutes in, and constantly tells me to "kill myself," "shit jungler," "come bot come bot come bot," "useless jungle," while spamming pings the entire game every single time I die or any time I go back and buy while he's dead.

The only things I said were, Lucian the lane is lost she will just kill us all so I'm going to get other lanes fed, and stop being so aggressive and calm down. Everyone on the team was talking shit to him about how much of an asshole he was being, and how I was doing well.

My problem is this: if I said ONE SENTENCE back to him of the shit he was saying it me, I would be banned right now. After the game I know at least 3 people reported him, and I still have got no message of punishment and he is on to a new game. Why do you not ban people like this but the second someone retorts, they get banned instead?

I have plenty of faith in the behaviour system.

It is renewed every time I see people falsely claim innocence in Player Behaviour and Moderation with obviously toxic chat logs.

I'm not sure I follow your logic.

Do you think the system is favoring him somehow? That's just blatantly untrue. What is likely the case is that this person hasn't built up enough reported games to flag the system at the time of your report.

The same would apply to you if you presented poor behavior in your games. Unless it's extremely poor conduct, a single game does not give you a punishment. And when it is extremely poor conduct, it's usually escalated through a manual review.

I love how this post turned into a completely nonsensical argument about false reports....

I agree though OP. Reports and what they do aside, there is just horrid behavior that continually permeates nearly EVERY game we get into and I think it stems from a lack of communication and a lack of understanding of the game.

Simply, we don't have enough time to teach someone the game in one game. So "Can you please ward the tribush and shove the lane and run down to mid to help with a gank because that's what needs to happen since I just ganked top and we forced a recall" (or whatever) becomes "WTF, shit top" (after mid gets rekt, and no one wants to take the time to explain why).

Poor example maybe but I hope you get the point.

I'm hoping RIOT has taken a turn toward helping people understand the game and how to play it. It seems like they have with new goodies for next season. But time will tell.

Why do you not ban people like this

They do if there's a pattern of similar behavior. They generally don't ban people for a single game where they say stuff they shouldn't.

but the second someone retorts, they get banned instead?

They don't, unless there's a pattern of similar behavior. They generally don't ban people for a single game where they say stuff they shouldn't.

Both parties get held to the exact same standards.

ShinkoMinori (NA) - 7 minutes ago If you get falsely reported a lot the legit reports have little to no weight, so if you manage to get reported even if you didn't do anything by the system you can make sure you never get punished.

What ?? haha

No OP look at above statement by DTN

i have faith in the system.

But I (and Riot) also know that the visibility of the system is very low, thus feeling it doesn't do anything, and people are scared of saying stuff cos they don't know how the system works.

Hang in there till after the new client is done. We'll probably get new behavioral features then.

That's not how it works

Every one if given a chance to reform and change.

it's only after multiple failed chances does a ban actually happen.

In this case, it doesn't matter if all 9 players reported him, it is considered 9 reports in a single instance.

having more reports doesn;t mean an instant ban, it just means there is more likeliness of a ban in the future.

let him join a game, let him be toxic or whatever, if he deserves a bam RIOT will handle it , not us.

And thats the reason why we are not given the choice to ban, cause we would ban everyone that wasnt compliant or didn't play well or just didn't like.

Report him and move on, there is no need to judge this system because it didn't do what you wanted.

When you say no one you mean you and your 5 ban thread buddies.
