Riot, what are you doing to fix the pre-thirty experience?

So, I'm smurfing and attempting to learn new roles.

Every other game I play versus or with a person that is playing their main and just hard stomps everyone. Okay, annoying but not the end of the world.

Then you get the toxic smurfs who just want to ruin the game for everyone to "show riot" AKA the shaclones, and they will troll, int, spew venom and harass new players and smurfs alike.

It takes me about 20-30 minutes to get into a game with the quque times, plus dodges and remakes.

There's a high chance someone will just leave the game if it isn't going well because "it's my smurf"

I'm wondering what Riot is doing to try and combat this issue? I feel bad for new people and just pre-30s of any kind at this point.

Also, bots are rampant. How does Riot weed those out?

Thanks for any info you can back with actual sources ahead of time.

There is no problem.

Smurfs get matched with smurfs, so if you are creating a new account you'll have a way different pre30 experience than actual new players.

that's the issue. The algorithm is very good at sorting smurfs from new players and puts you up against other smurfs. If you're actually a new player, it isn't an issue. Source: I knew friends who are trying to get into league.

Any suggestions on how to prevent people from making smurfs that wouldn't interfere with the idea that the game was free to play? The matchmaking algorithm already does a pretty good job to quickly sort the smurfs away from the not-smurfs.

Bots are also always going to be a problem in any F2P game at early levels. Given it's a F2P game, it costs nothing to make a new bot once one is banned. Ban waves (where they flag the account and ban the account at a later date) at least hit the buyer side of the equation. A potential account buyer is less likely to buy an account when they aren't sure if it's a ticking time bomb. Less buyers means less demand, less demand means less supply.

Whoa it takes you that long? I get games in like 3 minutes on my level 18 nidalee jungle account. Yes i get flamed nearly every game. All Riot is doing is banning the flamers to the best of their ability. Meh. Idk what they could do to prevent millions of assholes from being assholes. Got any ideas? Personally, I think its a problem in the F2P model. I wish you just had to buy the game and you only get one account, or pay for the game again using a different email to register. I hate the free to play model in general. Just pay for the game, and unlock content by PLAYING for it, not PAYING for it.
