So my real life best friend was just Perma-banned

I'm not going to argue for him or go into why he was banned, or even plead for his account back. I'm at work currently so I don't have time to read Riot's rules and policies on this, I just was wondering if someone knowledgeable on the issue or maybe even a Rioter could reach out to me on this. What exactly are his options at this point? Will he have an opportunity to reform and eventually reclaim his account? I have literally no knowledge in this area, since I have thankfully never been punished or banned. But we climbed to silver together this season and I was hoping we'd be able to get to gold as well, but that dream died with his consequences lol. I'm talking to him and coaching him through it currently, and I'm doing the best I can to prevent him from the "Fuck Riot and this game" downward spiral. But it would definitely comfort him if he knew maybe 6 months to a year down the road if he levels a new account and does his best to reform, he could get his original account back. Just let me know guys. Good luck and have fun as always.

A permanently banned account is banned for good, since it has typically used up at least its second chance after the final 14-day ban warning, and often three second chances (two chat restrictions and a 14-day ban). The only time a ban is reversed is if it was found to have been applied in error.

His options now are simple: stop playing League, or make a new account.

leveling a new account is apparently easier than ever. just play normals and dont take it too seriously and hopefully your teammates wont either when you're playing with a non-level 30. if hes been given all these chances its up to you or himself to come to the realization that HE HIMSELF fucked up and nobody else is to blame but himself for his behaviour

Was he banned for behavioral reasons?

If it's a random ban out of the blue, it may be a secruity issue. What is shown when he tries to log in?
