Here's the thing with the "you can't do that in another sport" argument

There are two types of traditional sports, just like there are two queues for league. One of them is "competitive" and one of them is "recreational." While you cannot stand around insulting people in competitive sports, you also can't, for example, give the ball to the opposing team and expect to have a spot on the team season after season. If you are going to open the door to saying that you cannot get angry at someone for poor performance because you aren't allowed to do this in real life, I feel that you should also have to take the bad with the good and at a certain point, people who perform so poorly should not be allowed to play ranked queue. I mean, if you aren't going to take it seriously, or play at a certain level, what is the point in even having the option to play ranked? It's be like letting someone who never practices into your competitive sports team and then patting them on the back when they tank your season. League community, pick one, either its like sports, or it isn't. Lets face it, you just want to take the good aspects of sportsmanship that support the shitty things people do in ranked, and ignore the aspects of sportsmanship that you don't like. Such as putting in the same amount of time and effort that your team mates are.

If this was treated anything like professional, or even competitive sports, half of the community or more would not be able to play ranked queue.

I'm saying that I agree with you. It's not about being a sport, it's a game and esports is just catchier than competitive video gaming.

Now what about either scenario makes you feel entitled to be abusive to a teammate?

It's not about being a sport at all, it's about treating other human beings with basic respect. Let's face it, being abusive to another person just because you are upset or angry is not the definition of a good person that anyone wants to be around.

Which is, due to MMR, exactly the same in LoL, just that there is a certain randomized factor in it, too. A player that consistently plays badly will eventually stop being put into good players' teams. That's how this works.

This, on the other hand, is not how anything works. This would be the equivalent of banning an individual player from competitively playing a sport because of their bad performance, which I'm fairly certain has never actually happened in the history of sports.
