I can tell by your post that it isn't your intent to get people in trouble. Still, we need to enforce the Universal Rules and guidelines and your post here will only tempt people into violations. I appreciate your intent and desire to help, though!

  1. How about hyperlinking to those rules?
  2. How about telling me which one of those rules I violated?
  3. Why is it that my entire thread can get deleted but you can't manage to delete a single comment within a thread?

The Universal Rules can be found to the left on top of the boards list, with the individual board's guidelines underneath that list while on that specific board.

If they removed your post with this explanation "I can tell by your post that it isn't your intent to get people in trouble", that would be the Name & Shame rule.

THEY ARE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BOARDS! USE YOUR EYES!

My guess is that the entire thread was based around people insulting you (effectively violating good behavior rules), and that it was a thread that was VERY likely to descend into silliness and general uselessness.

The concept was good, but I think it would have been MUCH stronger as a short essay pre-written with examples of behavior you'd be likely to encounter in-game. Also, many times the best option is simply to ignore the comment: something the initial premise of your thread missed.

The Universal Rules are linked constantly for everyone on the left there, just under "BOARDS HOME" and at the top of the list of boards categories. While your post did not violate the guidelines itself, it was encouraging other people to do so. As for #3 there, if you see a comment that you think is violating the universal rules or individual boards guidelines please click that "report" button for us, or join the discord channel and bring it to our attention there (or both, even!).
