My friend got his account banned due to him using the word %%% in its official meaning.

So umm yeah. My friend got perma-banned. And that's why I'm posting here since he's usually a really chill guy and never flames. The problem with him is he insists the word %%% should be acknowledged by its official definition: an exhausting task, rather then the internet slang we've given it and that's how he got banned. Since despite several of us telling him not to do it, he likes screaming %%% as a sign of victory after a major play by him, or just anything that would make him exhausted. Baron steal? He types %%%. Penta-kill? %%%. Etc. So umm yeah just asking if he can get the ban lifted or changed to a large chat restriction or something since it seems like it's a big misunderstanding. The threat of having the account lost to him forever as well as all his friends telling him we told you so, has made him reconsider the decision of not respecting internet slang and he's promised to not use the word anymore.

So umm yeah does he deserve to get perma-banned? Does he not? Would be glad if someone from Rito took a look at this.

Your friend must of at least had a basic understanding of that words multiple meanings and he still showed to use a words lesser known meanings instead of using a more mainstream word meaning the exact same thing.Taric

Your friend's obstinate behavior got him punished. Just because he's on a one-man crusade to change the meaning of a word doesn't mean anybody should be expected to understand that his use of the word doesn't come from a place of hate.

For whatever it's worth, I'd consider myself to be fairly well-read, but I've never heard that definition of the word before. In doing some light googling, it seems to be a British definition, and since your friend is likely American...

He will need to submit a ticket to Player Support. They are the only ones who can review his case and make any determinations as to whether anything can be done about it. But it's a bit of a stretch. Especially when you and others have already cautioned him multiples times about not using it, and given the timing of when he uses it correlates to the times that someone would be likely to use it as a slur.

Out of curiosity, why did he feel the need to spam so much during that match? That alone is probably why his team was irritated with him enough to report him, long before he ever used the hate speech slur.

Can't even see what the word is, i'm assuming it's a racial slur though, that's really the only words that get censored.
