Why is "giving up" in the reportable menu when you have a surrender feature?

Surrender is the definition of giving up. I feel like I'm going to get reported a ton for using a feature in game the way this company intended.

And before some neckbeard fedora comes in here saying "It's not the surrender vote that means giving up it means when you stand in baseHUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR".

No.

The average intellect of the people who play this game will not be sufficient to comprehend that.

REMOVE THAT "GIVING UP" PHRASE.

surrender is a team decision if the surrender vote failed you are obliged to try to win regardless if you think you will win or not (you may be wrong too)

Yeah, if a surrender vote fails and someone decides to then stay in base or troll for the rest of the game, that's giving up. Using the surrender feature alone is not something you can be punished for.

Well can they add in "(not using the surrender vote)" in the wording there then?

Just to clarify, sort of like how they do under the intentional feeding heading with "(not just having a bad game)".

No. Giving up is reportable. It means, when you are lets say at 5min mark and top gets solo killed out of his own stupidity and he says "omg gg, open top" and just stands in fountain or afk farms jungle/other lanes - that's giving up and it is reportable.

The system as you call it Timethief, has no way of knowing if someone "gave up" in the way that you're describing.

If those people are not toxic in other ways, such as writing "please click yesssss!" in chat all the time, they won't get punished for those reports.

If that singed supp guy can get flagged by repeated reports even though he wasn't being toxic then someone could also be flagged for using surrender feature.

If you think that is all he does, then you really need to do more research.

The reports are going to stack on you and you will be punished eventually even if you did nothing wrong.

They only stack through games, not by person in a single game. 9 reports in one game will equates to 1 report.

People who said they did "nothing wrong" were obviously liars.

because I use the /ff feature. And I don't get punished for it.

Because using the /ff vote is not "giving up".

Staying AFK at base or running into enemy team to speed the loss is "giving up".

If you didn't give up by the Standing in Base hurrrrr or w/e Definition you won't get punished. The System Checks when a report comes in it doesn't punish depending on the report amount when they are false Reports.
