I decided to pick 1 off-meta pick in ranked game: Janna top. I informed my team very well what I'm going to do and I suggested them picks that can be played around (ex. protect the carry comp). The SECOND I picked Janna a guy WISHED ME CANCER! My pick created "negative experience to the team". Should I get reported and get banned because I tilted this guy? It is the same case as with the singed and the nunu main imo. Can someone pls explain? Thanks!
You deserve reports there. What you did was trolling. League is not teh place to conduct a social experiment. you created a negative experience and, while you shouldn't have been flamed, you were still doing something that you don't know if it will work in a ranked game.
Well you are basically creating a negative experience but your teammates (especially the one wishing cancer) are creating it as well. The thing is off meta isn't a bannable offense (despite what some people think) but communication is the key. Especially if it's in rank people want to win and to diminish your teammates who have no clue how you play, especially since this is your first time playing Janna top no one would be happy with that and it comes off as trolling.
"informing" is not the same as "communicating with your team".
a rioter even eplained this in the nunu case:
Communication doesn’t stop after you press the Enter button on your keyboard; and that’s where we saw a problem in this particular case. All of us need to be aware of the difference of communicating “with” someone vs. communicating “at” someone. Telling your team what you’re going to do and then ignoring them isn’t really working with them it’s holding them hostage. Telling your team what you want to do and actually working towards a common plan is a central part to playing any team based game.
you are making the same mistake as the nunu and singed player did.
