so my account jsut got banned for 14 days in the game the ez didnt want to group or anything, got mad that i took 2 kills he wouldnt of gotten and was being rude so i muted him and his duo starts shit talking me in his place. i do not think it is fair that duos can report people for being "toxic" also they ask for votes in chat and lie about people being toxic. Is there a way you can just mute all people on my account except for those i have added so i dont have to deal with people like this? the tyrn was calling me an autisic f**k, down sydrom child, told me to kys, that he fucked my mothers pussy until it was shattered. and so much more but yet because they reported me as a duo i got banned. and i didnt go nearly as far with anything i said to them as they did to me. Riot plz explain how this 14 day ban was fair/justified

As a matter of fact, them rallying for reports doesn't increase the chances of you being punished.

The punishment system is not a vote / majority system. All a report does is flag the system to check for toxicity. If there was toxicity, that game will put a dent in your behavioral history. Even if there were more reports, it still acts as a single dent.

The system is also capable of filtering out false reports. So if you did nothing wrong, then the system will discord the report.

If you wish for us to tell you what went wrong in your chat, you can post your chat logs here and we can dissect what went wrong.

Remember; we can only help you if you post the chat logs in question and clearly explain your situation. You also must remember that the system is run in four tiers;

First Offense: 10 Game Chat Restriction Second Offense: 25 Game Chat Restriction Third Offense: Two Week Suspension Fourth Offense: Permanent Suspension

Numbers of reports do not matter. If they wrongly report you, it will not affect your account unless you were actually toxic/negative. More information can be found here.

Finally, it is not okay to retaliate against a troll. Muting and reporting them is the best course of action, because being toxic back creates a negative environment for everyone else who is trying to play the game.

If you can find your chat logs or ask Riot Tantram to release them if you do not have them, then we can get into specifics as to what your ban could have been caused by.

just mute everybody as soon as game starts. Post your chat log for that game and we will see how "toxic" or not you were

Hello,

If you are reported and did nothing wrong these reports are considered false and riot do not punish you for them, even if multiple players report you.

You can contact Riot support at https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new for further information regarding your ban, and you should have also received an email from them, likely containing chat logs. It would be useful to post those chat logs in your post so as to give us a greater understanding of the situation.

As for their behaviour if you reported them, especially the ones using hate speech they will likely be punished possible even with a perma ban, even if they have had no prior punishments before

I cant deny that the first game i was beyond rude to the tyrn and ez after they wanted to talk shit to my friend. I understand i fucked up in that game and honestly just should of muted the tyrn once he started to shit talk me (at that point in time i already had ez muted. aka the comment where he talked shit for him). I will not say that from that game this ban wasnt all undeserved after i re read what i said. the j4 in our game was a random and i appolgized to him that i was acting like a child and arguin over some stupid shit. Still that does not excuse the fact i was rude to someone and i get that. HOWEVER the fact a player can call someone else down sydrome baby, drink bleach, abortion baby, "fucked your moms pussy until it shattered like glass", should never have been born... etc. i dont see it as right becasue i see many people talking like this in various occasions and when i do report them i very rarely see any action taken upon them. But yet i dont go nearly as far as that player did but im still the only one to get a ban from that game. Idk if its possible but is tehre a way that you can see what the team as a whole typed that game, but if there is please pull up those chat logs and see just how much of an ass tryn/ez was being up until the point where i actually started to say something. As for the 2nd game i TRULY do not think that game was flaming. 2/3 of that chat from the 2nd game is from a gank where talon came down and i pointed out why it was bad. the worse i said in that game was "fk" holy shit, jesus dude. i do agree i could of put it to talon a bit better phrasing but i do not see what i said to him as toxic. After that one gank from him you can see i barely spoke to him the rest of the game that was at the point where i said "or if you just ignited". Again going back to the first game i do realize where i messed up and that was by solely not jsut muting tyrn after i found out he was duo with ez. So do i think i deserve this ban now? Truthfully a little bit but i think the fact that tyrn can go around saying something like that isnt okay. Ive been playing this game for 4/5 years now and i do not want to get permabanned. I have spent more then 2k almost on this game and rather not lose all the money/time i put into this game because of something that i said over a video game. So 1-For the 2nd game do you think i was really that bad with what i said to the talon? 2nd- @Riot Tantrum is there or is there not a way you can mute my account to the point i can only see people i have added typing or is that not a possiblity? Also thank you to everyone who is replying to this, i appreciate the feedback as i do understand this is a part of RIOT doing there jobs.

Well to answer your question. Typing /mute all in game will mute everyone on both teams sooo there is that.

With that being said if you got banned for Toxic behaviour then you were probably handed chat logs to show you your behaviour so you should post those.

A 14 day ban should be taken very seriously as it is the final warning you will get. The next punishment for your account is Perma ban. Someone being toxic to you does not give you the right to be toxic to them. The number of reports does mot increase the chance of a user getting banned either, 9 reports = the same as 1 report.

In the end you should practice what you preach and just mute the offenders rather then snap back at them. You cant be punished if you dont say anything and just play the game.
