I like how I can purposely leave the game as many times as I want without real punishment.

Oh no, a 20 minute timer. It's not like I can't go get something to eat or watch some youtube while I wait for that timer to deplete. Like, who in their right mind is going to actually state at a timer going down from 20 minutes? No one.

Of course, I'm not the one afking here, I just played a game where my Amumu left because he didn't get his way. So of course, not only does he waste 15 minutes of everyone on his teams time, he also doesn't really get a punishment. Hell, as long as he doesn't frequently leave the god damn game, he won't even get a god damn timer lmao.

But god forbid I would call him a mother fucker, because that's way worse than legitimately holding players hostage and wasting peoples time.

Leaving the game in this degree is equivalent to intentionally feeding, I've watched plenty of ScrubNoob clips to understand that him leaving after dying once is legitimately losing the game on purpose and holding everyone one else hostage. Does Riot do anything about it? No, of course not, because they can't without permabanning innocent players.

I'm sorry for sounding like a whiny bitch, but this shit is just so frustrating. That is 15-20 minutes of MY life that I cannot get back.

But you get to play with other leavers. It's called low priority queue for a reason.

Actually, you can eventually get banned for leavebuster.

They will ban those accounts it takes time and in the mean time there in low priority que which can stretch a really long time.

Once I was so deep the wait was 45 minutes and god forbid your computer went to sleep and it cancelled the que then your waiting up to an hour and a half. The system works is all I’m saying.

Would you like to get banned from the game for a longer time because you had a few unfortunate and unexpected disconnects (or even crashes caused by Riot), just to punish intentional leavers harder?

Or there's the simple fact that they get banned after leaving enough games...?

I don't know about Dota2, but other multiplayer games I've tried had priority queues based on subscrptions level. Free players? Low priority. Standard sub? Mid priority. Premium sub? High priority. It had nothing to do with types of players you saw in game and everything to do with how quickly they made space for you.

League's LPQ is basically "you wasted the time of your teammates, so we will place lower priority on getting you into a game". Once in, though, you're in the same pool of players as everyone else.

If they do it consistently enough, they can get permabanned for it.
