How Does Riot "knows" you are cheating?

Hi guys, i need a tech guy reading this... Since Riot support still havent aided me in my suspension. If you wonder why im here, at forums is because I don't know what to do. Im 100% Riot is wrong. I never cheated. But the thing is i cant fight or appeal their suspension. So... if any can check this:

I wonder if using "Ram Saver Pro" can mislead Riot to flag me with a 3º party program or something like that. (ill post a link with a screenshot of the program)

(I had no luck at support) I don't know if they check anything or just say the same copy / paste stuff.

They say i used some script but don't tell me what or how (funny thing is I didn't know about those things till i got here).

This account has more than 5 years, 10 runes pages. And lots of skins. Being playing ranked for 4 seasons. This is a big deal and i can ensure I didnt use nothing for hacking or exploiting. It's kind a joke my last games were in U.R.F. mode. No smart guy would cheat in any mode, less in URF. Seems a bad Joke the ban.

HELP! :(

I recommend sending in several detailed support tickets.

Also keep posting on the boards, if this post is seen by Rioters such as Tantrum (not specifically him/her),they sometimes come on here and look into the case of the why the player was Perma banned.

They could the best thing you can do is contact support and let them know that you use ram saver pro and ask.

I remember punk buster hackers and cheaters would take game cheat codes form actual cheats or rather the coding of the program and send it in IRC to get a bunch of innocent people banned in theory this could be done on League too depending their detection system if people were in IRC or friends.

I did that. Uploaded the same picture that is here. And just let this forum link so they can check. No idea if this will help. I hope it does. I might have to record "Help me Obi Wan Ritobi, you are my only Hope" (lol), my the force be with us. (and the influence points) xD

that was the only change i did a few days before I got banned. checked the date in system, was searching if I installed other soft that might trigger a flag or something (I actually don't know how they detect any 3 program bla bla). Fact is I installed that soft because I was trying to get rid of some freeze/lag. It worked, but i Don't know if was the program or the disk defrag. Did both. (I did some defrag while playing too) That may rise a question too.

They have access to your input biometrics, and I think the client can scan your memory for known exploit code, or the client might have honeypot APIs (or whatever the technical terms for that is) which are not hooked into under normal circumstances and something might be up if they detect something hooking into those.

idk I do not think forum users are able to help you since they do not have access to what riot based their decisions on so

Riot does bans in waves and they won't tell you what they detected because that makes it for the people who make scripts to avoid bans. Unfortunately there really isn't anything that the boards can do.

So, What can I do ? support just says me that i did something (that they don't explain) so my suspension is permanent. Don't know what to do. Just trust me i wouldnt be here if this wasnt a mistake. I would be starting a new account. But not going away easy on my 5 years (at least) account. Thanks for the reply anyway. Glad someone answer.

Really there isn't anything you can do. Sometimes it's due to account sharing.

Never did that dude. 100% sure. Unless my account got hacked, that in that case i watched last matches and are all mine. I remember those. In URF mode and u can see them in lolking. Last games.

The thing is that people who actually did cheat know very well that they have literally nothing to lose on claiming innocence which makes your situation all trickier for you.

I agree on that. I was asking someone with technical expertise, because i hope the "ram optimizer" can send a wrong data, or flag me. I did got banned soon after intalled that crap! i was having some freeze and installed that program. I actually solved the issue, but now sure if it was the prefomance of the software or the disk Defrag i did. Worked like charm. But at the high cost of losing the entire point! (sigh)

keep in mind there are lots of custom skins out there that gives unfair advantages. some you know, some you may not such as:

  • splitting CS in how many each minion you and your opponents have killed
  • jungler timers
  • no fog of war
  • skill shot assisting visua aids

list goes on

Theres not any skin that can give an advantage as its only your computer that its seen. Riot has even publicly said its ok, the only reason they don't recommend it is because it could cause bugsplats or things not working properly.

I think he meant to say custom skin programs. Some of those do also include illegal features which, even if not used, still make the program as a whole not allowed.

The use of various programs designed to "help you" with windows can be easily mistaken as 3rd party software. When I play LoL, I have nothing up in the background, nothing other than chrome up in the background, and maybe VLC or WinAmp (yes, it's still around) for some killer tunes in the background.

Who knows what you have up in the background that coulda flagged you... Could be anything.

Who knows what you have up in the background that coulda flagged you... Could be anything.

Is not that easy, when you read the safety steps they say to have an updated Antivirus.

I have NOD32 8 updated Comodo Firewall updated Firestorm (zotac software) original from the Nvidia 770 graphic card Nvidia Geforce experience CorsairLink (hydro cooling system) for Cpu Dropbox

And for me the suspicious one is "Ram saver Pro" that I installed 4 days before I played my last game" (just checked install date)

Alright, then your best bet is to get rid of it. You want to know how to save your RAM easily? A simple step...

Increase your VRAM... Gotta remember that your system also uses some free space on your hard drive as RAM too...and if you increase the available space... Page Filing...what a wonderful, but irritating, design :-)

Reduce the workload of your Display properties. --In other words, go to Basic settings for your desktop and icons. This "stuff" takes up some of your RAM as an automatic offset believe it or not...--

Minimize how much stuff you have going at once, and what you have going. If your streaming music off youtube or any other website...keep in mind that even though you aren't viewing the page...those annoying ass ads and "tickers" still run. These put a strain on available threads as well.

You could also increase your current RAM to your computer's maximum allotment...and if you're not sure where or how much you can allocate to your motherboard, well...(coughs) Google your computer's name and brand + product number.

The simplest things, come at less of a hassle than one realizes. All these fancy ass programs out there today "designed" to better assist you just in fact, make your life more difficult...especially if you're a heavy gamer.

OH! I almost forgot... If you want faster and smoother "graphics"...change the settings of the Hardware itself.

all good advice for ram! but i do NEED my ACCOUNT BACK! lol just saying. I think that freeze came from the hard disk. Since i have 16GB DDRR 3. Thanks for advice.

I seen the size of your RAM, and I'm jelly...only got 8GB DDR2 on my laptop -- ehem --

If you want to prove that you haven't scripted anything, nor used a 3rd party program to "gain a minuscule" advantage over your teammates, then you need to go in depth with your ticket to CS. If you were banned after installing that program, then get rid of it.

Keep in mind that upon launch, the client "sniffs" your current background processes and while the client is in operation, it monitors inbound and outbound data. Most game clients have a safegaurd to protect the integrity of the client...and if you weren't cheating...prove it. Simple screenshots won't cut it, you need to have riot actually investigate your actions while online prior to the ban...and given the chances of them doing so is literally very low, but all you can do is try.

Im willing to let them try or check anything on my pc. Ill grant access before i delete the soft so they can check it. But first I need someone of them to ask me for that. And support Still didnt gave me anything. Thanks for advice. I hope some mod here take note or just help me doing that.

My wife's account was banned awhile ago because of ASC9's RAM Cleaner was still running when she played a few matches.

I don't cheat, nor does she, nor will we ever. Point is, Riot's been a bit Ban-Happy here lately this season and it's a bit frustrating.

The advanced system care 9's RAM cleaner that launches at startup was the cause of her ban...mainly because it monitors your RAM and various specs of your system. Most game client security software report it as a Cheating Program...and it's pretty obvious as to why.

Her ban was a first time offense, and she hasn't played since she was given the hammer...11 days ago.

Well, ok Ram program is on the sport for sure then. Riot needs to take note of this. Its totally unfair ban, and i didn't have the chance to know or prevent it. thanks.

Well Guys and for anyone reading, i just got another answer from Riot saying that this program was not the issue. They can't offer any concrete data about what data left them to punish me, because that information might be used to exploit the system in future seasons.

This is it outregeous. If I would have that information, I wouldnt need to ask about it. NONSENSE again.

It's really UNBELIEVABLE.. I can totally vouch for Maquinita. We played lots of games together since 2011, and we always did it 100% fair and square.. We have never heard of the so called "scripts" before this ban, and having to investigate this topic now just to see why Riot decided a permanent ban on his account, I see they are totally mistaken. I mean, I would love, as much as Maquinita, to know what in Earth Riot saw/detected/imagined that happened, because that thing mates, never happened.

We still can't believe and can't make up our minds that his account was banned. I know there is stupid people around that always tries to take advantage someway, somehow, to be greater in games, to have rewards, or whatever reason you could name. But this guy is not like that, and never was. This is a terrible precedent here, and what no one realizes is that this could happen to anyone, anywhere, since Maquinita was 100% INCORRECTLY BANNED. So, yes, you guys could come in here and comment: "hey dude, sorry, nothing to do" "hey dude, try harder, but have low expectation".. to hell with that. If I knew something about laws and rights, I would totally sue Riot for this, because it was incorrect, and on top of that, they won't give a good and detailed explanation!!! And that's one of the many reasons I have to tell you guys Riot bans just for banning.. They don't know why they banned my friend, and they "can't tell us, because other people would realize and take advantage also".. of?? of what??? Riot, you messed up here. BIG TIME!!! I hope this gets solved ASAP. My indignation and my friend's, goes beyond any know horizont.

Riot just stole my account, they refuse to tell me what did i Do. THis is pointless. Good bye a 5 years account, more than 100 U$S RP, looted skins and almost all champions. Never playing this game after this. Aye.
