Suspended for 2 weeks. No reason/No response.

This is incredibly frustrating. I was in my first game of the day yesterday and after the game was finished my client exited and said I was suspended until October 13th and I should check the email. The email has no info on the suspension. I never did anything wrong on the account, I am a pretty quiet player and I never got a warning or anything. I have tried posting on the boards and emailing support, but can't get a response about what happen anywhere.

This is the message I got:

I'm not sure but seems like a 3rd party program or something like it.

Advice:

If you contact support--

Be precise and polite (can't hurt)

Don't bump ticket

Please, when and if you contact Riot please tag me so I may see what they had to say. gl

I emailed them and still waiting for a response. Its been about 24 hrs. I never used 3rd party programs, I don't even have something installed on my computer that would be considered a 3rd party program for League. Usually when I play League is the only thing open.

Please, don't bump the ticket for a day or 2. I have heard when you do this you go back to the bottom. Besides, as this is new and as players we don't know what Riot is using just hold on. I know it isn't easy to wait! But, in the long run it could help you. Honestly, I wish I knew more, had more time to learn but for now, say what you need to and try to keep it at least neutral. Not telling you to say nothing here on the boards just try to be well nice, or neutral. Do you know what I mean ? gl

The time code isn't for 3rd party software use. Most likely this was a manual review by a Rioter causing the suspension. 3rd Software usually results in a permanent ban, so it's not that.

Most likely it's negative behavior, griefing, or an odd case of breaking the ToS considering this sounds like a manual review, hence the lack of information.

I highly suggest OP files a support ticket requesting more information about the suspension. Only way they'll find out what truly happened to their account.

codes only apply for perma bans because they start at about 2200. the date is just the actual time of when the ban ends

I know :P That's why I stated the "code" given in the email wasn't for a permaban involving security or finance reasons since Nerak23 thought it was for third party use.

It's more than likely a manual review suspension as I said before.

I mean it really makes no sense considering I have never got a warning or anything? I have never been chat banned or suspended on the account so for them to just randomly suspend me out of the blue is kinda weird.

Manuel review works differently compared to the instant Feedback system. Depending on what flagged your account for review, might have been severe enough to warrant a 14 day suspension and skip punishment tiers. It happens, but it's best to submit a Support Ticket so you can find out more information.

All I can do is speculate with the information given to me :/

But skipping tiers via manual review does happen, so it's not unheard of.

It really depends. But for sure it's anything that clearly violates the ToS you agreed to that the instant feedback system might not automatically pick up.

Few ideas I can come up with from what I've seen:

Extreme toxic behavior in chat that caused a manual review.

Detailed description in report stating toxic behavior in pre/post game chat (isn't reviewed by instant feedback so requires a manual review of those logs)

Non-verbal harassment.

Griefing/Trolling or intent feeding.

Or very odd cases described in the report description. Example: saw a player on the boards get permanently banned (no prior history) due to forcing surrenders in ranked games with his premade team. He was in a 4-man premade and when they were super ahead in the game (I'm talking like 20-5 with all outside enemy towers down) they would force a surrender causing the SoloQ player with them to take a loss. They did this repeatedly and Riot banned them for it, which is really crazy considering they could pick up on that type of negative/rude behavior that was completely nonverbal!

But yeah, it can be for a whole bunch of things to trigger manual review. But we wont know until you get a response to your support ticket.

I'd like an answer to this as well. I got the same message and the worst things I've said in chat were "please don't feed" at the start of a game and "maybe you shouldn't 1v5 next time". Also, I only got chat restricted one time and that was over a year ago. If people are that insecure about their skill in a free to play game, there's always the mute button. Good job Riot, next time I play I'll make sure not to say "gg" in all-chat after a win so enemies don't rage permaban me.

I was taking it easy on them! I realize that a 14 day ban doesn't come from a 3rd party program use. I was giving some room for the OP to talk about it.

I'm surprised you think I'm that stupid. And as far as I know, there may very well be lesser bans for things that are Not Talked about on the Boards from Riot.

See Man, what ever the reason a random person gets punished is up to Riot. But...You know what :) to tired to address it.

Desolas, I've been around a long time, thing about this new 3rd party is ...it is new. I expect Riot makes a mistake now and again. I also know about the year codes and that leads me to believe your not as new to this board as your profile says....None of which matters to me.

What does matter to me is a code I live by. My Code and Right is Right and wrong is well you know....now I'm not trying to say something bad about you..in fact, I have respect for you.

I'm a bit integrated now ! Can you tell me anything about this new cheating shit? Maybe, you found something I didn't have time to look for ? If so please share :)
