Can you be banned for AFKing games from time to time, like maybe once a week?

once a week is pretty often. Back when I was playing I only disconnect like maybe once every few months.

Yes you can get permabanned for afk and leaving too frequently. I don't know how many times triggers the ban but I would suggest you do not do it frequently. Try to block out time so that you can play league uninterrupted because you are playing a team game and it's not fair for your team to have to go 4v5

I remember reading about a ban from AFKing too often, but I can't find it in the search function or in the https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us support articles.

As a gameplay related ban, it was a 14 day ban.

I think it was around 1 AFK per 10 games. Unless you're playing multiple games per day, that's pretty close to what you're doing. 1 AFK per week is really a huge amount.

I recalled it in the leave buster update. This is the EUW update a while back and maybe I might have mistaken it for NA... or it could apply to NA as well?

Keep in mind that you ruin the game for 9 other people. Going afk once a week, which is really often, is really selfish dont you think?

I play so many games per day about 7-8 I'd say that its sometimes unavoidable for me

I think leaving every 50 games is still too much. Can you not plan ahead ?

You can be if you trigger an manual review. I'd imagine when you do it often enough, someone will be salty enough to submit a support ticket to get someone to take a closer look at your account.....
