If players are tired of the meta...
...why is the Nunu
Support being banned for something that isn't typically done and considered off-meta? And his strategy works! It seems that most players care only about winning and climbing in ranked, so why are they so upset about a viable strategy that gets them more wins? (The support smite Nunu has a high winrate. Also, If you want to call him a second jungler instead of a roaming support, I don't care. My point still stands.)
I've found it so strange how the player base is reacting to this. Players always complain about how the meta forces you to play a set list of champions if you want to climb, yet they're complaining when someone is trying play in a way that: (1) allows a champ to be viable and (2) allows for a different play style besides the standard 1 top, 1 mid, 1 jungle, and 2 bot. Shouldn't the player base be happy that a player has found a way to break the standard mold that is the meta? Apparently, players are so used to playing one way, they completely disregard any other types of play.
I'm not going to talk about how Riot should have responded to this case, as others have already talked about that a bunch. I just want to talk about the reactions I hear about from a lot of the in-game player base (players who have actually played in game with this Nunu OTP. Not the board community, as they seem to be okay with him considering all of the posts that are being made recently.)
Well, I've said my piece, so if anybody wants to debate this topic, or just talk about it period, I'd be open to having a conversation. (Actually, maybe not now, since I'm getting off for the night.)
Have a good time, fellow summoners!
