Are Emotes not allowed in Worlds?

Dear Riot:

Why is it that I never see any of the professional players on the World's stage EVER emote?

I'm pretty sure they can emote. They just don't do it often because it is kind of unsportsmanlike in some situations. And it kind of creates a bad image for them if their emoting to BM.

I think only team emotes are allowed.

If you ask in the esports subforums, I think they'll able to tell you more.

Was searching for the same answer, can't find anything but just a few people asking why.. and some of them answering with "can be looked upon as BM". How? If it was already used earlier on just on the end game when they tried to synchronize it or at the very start of the game [dance phase/minions didn't spawn]

I'm pretty sure emotes are disabled in tournaments, even when they start/finish a game or do an ace, there are no emotes. Which means none of the players have emotes in their "wheel".
