3 levels, you got 2850 worth of champion shards if you disenchant all of those (possibly slightly more around 3k if you had an extra poppy like I think i'm reading).

It takes about 8-12 games to level up. Thus your "IP rate" is around 100 IP per game, which is actually slightly higher than you'd expect for the average game pre-preseason (and before the bug where they messed with numbers before the preseason changes hit inadvertantly).

If you were to upgrade some of those champions to permanents, presuming you did not own any of them at all, you would lose the BE from disenchant, but you'd easily earn that back from the BE you'd save by upgrading vs buying in store.

All in all, I think your post proves quite well that the math is in the players' favor in that the vast majority of players will be earning champions faster than they did before.

Yeah another 90... not worth to mention.

Yeah upgrading is much better... but the reward is waiting game. ;[

So, you got an Irelia shard. I'm not sure if you own her or not, but on average you should expect to get at least one shard of 4800 or 6300 value around every 2-5 levels. As such, even if you only unlock the high-value champions and only with shards, you're still unlocking one every few levels (as you should easily get enough BE to upgrade a shard to permanent every 3-4 levels).

I haven't played her myself, but my friends think she's pretty fun once you get the hang of her. I'd probably upgrade that myself - but it's up to you if you wanna upgrade it, save it, or disenchant it.

i just wish riot kept the "reroll 3 champion shards to get a random permanent champion" option.

as someone who owns all of the champions 3150 BE and below, i'd have a better time gathering what i'm missing with that option still available...

If you don't like the champions, just disenchant them then, and use that BE to buy Ornn (which I think you are trying to say?)

Okay let's doing math (903)+ (2706) + (960*1) 270 + 1620 + 960 Total 2850 ( but i forget to add 90 so it would be 2940)

Orn cost 6300

If I got that Orn from the reward and it owuld be about 3150

Therefore... get the ORN from the reward is much better.

I've leveled 4 times and never got a shard for a champ above 4800. if your looking to get a 6300 shard from leveling, i don't think its going to happen.
