How to level up in honor?

Some Riot members said that you will get honor level 5 even if you don't recieve honors,but it will take more time than someone who recieve more often.

The thing is I'am honor level 3 since the begining of the honor launch and I recieved alot of honors from both friends and strangers,in some games even 3-4 honors...and I played this game alot...and some people I know barely played this game...like 5-6 games/month,they didn't recieve any honor(I talked to them) and they got level 5 honor...my question is why I'am stuck at level 3?...I never recieved any punishment/warning,I played 4 times more games,recieved 3 times more honors not to mention I never flame...and sometimes I see honor level 5 players wishing all the desease in the world etc

It's annoying because the system does appear to be random af and favor those who play league LESS. My only guess is that it works off of a percentage of games played or something. It's the only way that i can see the weekend warriors and such surpassing people who play daily( assuming the behavior is equal as well).

At the end of the day its not really worth it though. You get keys for being as low as honor level 1, honor capsules have a frustratingly low drop rate, and the end of season reward is a ward skin ><.

i have the same issue i have played 250-500 games and haven't leveled up yet i am still level 2 without being punished

I myself wanted to quit the game...because of my friends called me often to play I remained in this game...I realised that this game favor the players who play less and flame alot.

It does take some time to level up the honor. With that said getting honors from friends (people on your friends list) doesn't count as much as if you got honors from strangers.

I have the exact same issue, I guess we are just really unlucky or some people are spotted as "get out of our game" if you are not the kind of player Riot wants (A flaming person that buys a lot of RP and uses frustrating noobchamps every game).

That's my guess after a looooot of time trying to achieve honor 4 at least :/

I will try a new thing...I will play 5 games/month next season and see if the honor level will raise faster...and then after level 5 I will play more often...and I will not honor anyone maybe that why I don't get the level...Riot think I troll for honoring too often or I don't know...so play less,not honoring maybe the level will go faster...I will check that next season now its too late.

Receiving honor from strangers will give you way more and have you been honoring people?
