Finally found a way to deal with toxic players

You can just move your chat box off the screen by pressing ENTER and then moving it all the way off to the side so no text is visible. AHHHH sweet sweet silence! no more muting premades 5 minutes into the match and no more muting random toxic players who feel they need to put their input into every last little thing that is ever said in a match even if it had nothing to do with them or even anything that was happening.

Iv'e never been happier playing league in the last year since this toxic uprising of players, now if only i could mute pings.... Can never stop those damn things sadly.

Some may say it's refusing to talk to your team, others will agree that i am simply fail-proofing myself from dealing with any more toxic players and being tempted to defend myself.

League reminds me so much of when i was in high school, even if you just defended yourself in a fight, you still got punished for not allowing the other kid to beat you up into a pulp.

This kind of system encourages bullying, and discourages defending yourself.

But now i have the solution to not even having to defend myself, by not having to deal with that kind of chat at all!

The weight has been lifted! [slayer-jinx-wink]

it's worth a shot but the reality is you're still gonna get gang reported and eventually punished.

I've had zero punishments, having played heavily all the way back to Season 3. Even when I've gone 1/10 ADC. This doesn't happen often, but it has happened. :)

Personally, I just mute every single person in the game. No verbal fights, no "lol u suck" or "gg ez" anymore on my screen. I've conditioned myself to mute every single person in the game regardless or not if they're toxic or not, mainly because of consistent negative interactions with the community in the 5 years I've been here.

The community doesn't seem like it's going to change, so I'd rather just mute each game and save myself the hassle of dealing with people who are trying to instigate and harass me.

Kind of sucks in the postgame chat though. I wish the mutes would carry over in the postgame chat.
