Full Punishment for leaving champion selection?

Yesterday I was in champion select for a ranked game when something in my personal life popped up, because of this I decided to force close the client to skip. However, when I logged back into league today, I found out that it had somehow proceeded to the game and treated me as if I left at the start of the game, instead of champion selection. I was given a 5 game low priority queue and a full lp loss of almost 20.

I left during champion select, yet the game somehow did not register this, and it continued into the game, making me receive a full punishment from leaverbuster. How is this my fault? Has anyone else experienced this? If you leave during champ select the queue should be disbanded, it shouldn't of continued into game.
