A Problem with 3v3s/Twisted Treeline

Howdy yall, it's generic edge username SummonersFowl! This post is going to be a discussion regarding 3v3s.

Since I cannot find DTN's boards formatting post at this time, please bare the lack of it.

Section 1: Lack of attention

3v3s has had a large lack of attention from Riot, leading the gamemode to be left in the dust. I'm not the type of person that's good at making large paragraphs off topics like this, so bare with me. We all know no new items or gameplay mechanics were added to Twisted Treeline for quite a while, if at all. It still contains old items which are non existant in any other gamemode, such as item 3090. If Riot added some things to spice up play, maybe 3v3s would be a bit more popular.

Section 2: Botting

Twisted Treeline is infamous for large quantities of bot accounts. They plague the low mmr tiers of TT. Me and 2 of my buddies went all tank 3v3s for fun, and this is the horror we were met with.

I understand bot accounts are hard to track sometimes, but this could also deter new players from trying the game if 3v3s is their first experience.

Section Three: Your throughts

What do you think should be done with TT to help breathe life back into it? Comment ya dork!

First off, Champion Mastery tokens should drop in TT, if not in normals then at least in ranked. It makes no sense that normal SR games are somehow considered competitive while ranked TT games aren't, especially when that contradicts every other statement Riot's ever made about normals vs. ranked.

Secondly, there needs to be more frequent changes for the map. Increased communication with Riot would also be a huge plus here. Riot is infamous for neglecting non-SR maps, and that perception isn't going to change without regular, consistent effort. Few people are going to be interested in the mode when Dominion's fate keeps looming overhead.

Lastly, "official" tournaments would help. Riot's tournament prizing changes last year disproportionately impacted non-SR events. It's much harder to find or organize in-person tournaments for non-SR modes when they have much smaller playerbases (and thus interest) to begin with. That team tournament thing Riot teased some time ago could be a decent substitute. Unfortunately, it once again is probably going to be SR-exclusive.

Apologies if this would more suit the Gameplay board, but I feel a more in-depth discussion could be held here.

The map sucks. It needs to be bigger. The op/meta champs are degenerate. the strategies on the map are degenerate. bot lane is too short to even be midlane and has a bush in it.

I just like the fact that its 3v3. But the gamemode itself is terrible balanced.
