Questions about trolling and is Riot doing anything about it?

The question I have for the community is this; what do you get from throwing tantrums because you didn't get the role you want and/or otherwise being the kind of people that enjoy purposefully throwing games?

Especially in normal games. In ranked I found it hasn't been that bad, but in normal, people are more than willing to throw games at others expense and joke about it saying "lol don't worry, it is only norms". I understand some people don't take norms seriously, however there are some people that use it to practice for ranked. Regardless, you are never justified in intentionally costing people games.

So for the trolls, what do you have to gain? Why play League of Legends for negative purposes? You have nothing to gain.

The question I have for Riot is, why do you do nothing about the people who enjoy ruining the game? Yes, we do have the option for reporting at the end of the game. However, I have only seen this work once and that was in the case of in-game chat abuse. It does nothing to people who join games just to intentionally throw. Yes there is a difference between justice and vengeance, in this case though, is it really vengeance when you want to see Riot doing something about a person in particular who joins game with the intention of losing them?

Yes, under a tribunal system would be inefficient as there would be too many reports to process and would cause a delay. The in-game chat ban does nothing though to prevent actual intentional feeding. Under the current situation though, those of in low divisions are suffering hell whilst climbing because of the trolls making it nearly impossible to climb and as someone who has spent lots of money in this game, my voice should be heard.

The honour system is nice and I endeavour to play as best as I can to be honoured, it doesn't do anything for the trolls that don't need it because they get their kicks from making other as miserable as possible.

As much as I enjoy playing the game with friends and trying to do my best, I must say, I am on verge of leaving League. Why play a game when bad sportsmanship is not even punished and does nothing to prevent people from trolling? If Riot continues to take an almost absent presence in regards to governing their communities in a non-toxic fashion, I, as well many others who feel the same will end up leaving.

ill be honest with you, the instance you mentioned money, the your whole post became void. there will ALWAYS be people who troll and flame and feed, some are more or less justified and other are not. the community as a whole is aware of these people and for riot to do anything meaningful in regards to discipline it wouldn't just affect the bad people in the group it would affect the entire community, you can block trolls and more or less you wont play with them again unless they are in a non blocked players party.

however the amount of money you throw at this game doesn't mean your voice is more important than anyone else's because the can be the argument that this is a free to play game you are not forced in any way to spend money on this game or its merchandise so that joe schmoe playing in Westminster who buys all the champs and skins technically isn't any more important than that 11 year old girl in Hoboken who can only play on sundays. you see?
