it should say all the stuff or a link to all the stuff you can get in trouble for. back in the day i could go to the tribunal to read the rules and such but it seems like here is a good place for them also wherever they are currently i have no clue. i havn't seen them for years honestly because of that.

on a side note i personally think this company has gone off the deep end with their behavior modification. i mean this forum is suppose to be disscussions about player behavior. what it actually is, is a bunch of threads from people who got perma banned and feel totaly screwed or posts about "can i get in trouble for x". even if you wanted to talk abuot player behavior your post would bee quickly swept away by an onslaught of these banned players threads. i honestly dont know how i have managed to maintain my account because i detest being forced to control anything about myself at all much less my thoughts and words. which is by the way the most important thing you have other than your body.

the people who created the country this game came from would not have cared much for it's policy. i think they would have said something like "huh, you want to force people to not say words because you don't like the words? you mean to say that nobody is robbing you? or beating you up? in fact no damage to you in any way that can be seen or verified?" then i think they would pretty much just not even be able to look at you anymore. or maybe you get backhanded across the room.

The problem with this is the second you try and put specifics, you either have a 10 mile long thread to describe all the ifs/ands/buts, or you leave out something that is important.

The bottom line is that the exact specifics of the system are unknown even to Riot. It's a machine learning system (similar to an artificial neural network) that was trained on logs that were holistically deemed toxic by the Tribunal back in the day - the program (the Instant Feedback System or IFS) formed its own rules. Trying to put the program's rules and processes into a "do this and don't do that" thread wouldn't work very well.

"Generic comment about how it's easy to avoid getting banned and how you should know what is offensive and what is not."

How about not being mean, rude, insulting, racist, sexist, (insert bias vs religion word), or harassing? It confuses me that people don't realize that "toxic" means negative, harassing and/or generally unpleasant/unfun to be in game with? It is not a chat room for you and your friends to say what you normally say in small groups... Would you talk the exact same way with your parents or relatives as friends? How about classmates you are not "friends" with, or in a work place? Or in a public setting? This is a friendly game held on public servers, just try not to be a jerk?

The problem of making such specific list is that obnoxious players would then find a work around phrases or words or spelling then come an start arguments that such and such isn't listed! It still happens in a lot of threads.

Now to be fair at one time Riot did discuss with the boards and considered certain phrases that we the players don't want to be a part of this game. They gave the community the chance to at least discuss it.

That being said, you have your right to your opinion and Riot has the absolute right to punish how it see's fit.
