An open apology and question to Riot on Player Behavior

First off, I'd like to sincerely apologize. I have, in the past, been guilty of being so infuriated with the game that I blamed YOU, Riot. This, however, was not because of something you necessarily did, or did not, do. Rather, this was anger that was misdirected at you when the people I'm really upset with is the community.

I find it hard where I am at in my life to make friends who will actually be good teammates and not toxic to play with. I work long hours just to sustain myself through college, and (aside from spending some time with my girlfriend watching awful TV programs geared towards women because, let's be honest, female genitalia op - please nerf) league is my one escape. I've tried to leave the game because of the community, but I can't bring myself to do it. It's a mixture of missing the game so much and not being able to justify not playing the free to play game I've spent so much money on....'^-^

In either case, I just wanted to say I'm sorry. This is a game I enjoy in the best of times and LOATHE in the worst of times. The problem is the worst of times don't come from my losses. Losses I can handle. The problem is the extremely toxic players of the game. I just feel like the reporting system doesn't quite hit the mark, especially being a lonesome solo player who sees a LOT of duos.

My question is simply this, are you guys actively looking for ways to really punish toxicity?

This game has so much potential to be incredibly enjoyable, but the absolute dis-respectfulness, intentional feedings, jungle stealing, etc. is becoming more than I can handle.

Admittedly I will never quit league unless I am told by an addiction counselor to do so, but I'm just looking for at least a bit of solace in the hope and knowledge that you guys are, indeed, working out ways to make the fields of justice a little less like an apocalyptic, selfish wasteland and more like a REAL community.
